摘要: Target characteristic data may be predicted using an apparatus including a processor and one or more computer readable mediums collectively including instructions. When executed by the processor, the instructions cause the processor to obtain a plurality of physical structure data and a plurality of characteristic data, estimate at least one structural similarity between at least two physical structures that correspond with physical structure data among the plurality of physical structure data, and generate an estimation model for estimating a target characteristic data from a target physical structure data by using at least one characteristic data and corresponding at least one structural similarity between the target physical structure data and each of the plurality of the physical structure data.

摘要: Embodiments relate to a computer implemented information processing system, method and program product for data access. The information processing system includes a data store having a top tier store and at least another tier store with the top tier store including a counter for each entry of a symbol and another tier store including a representative frequency value defined for the another tier store. A sorter is also provided configured to sort the symbol in the top tier store and the another tier stores according to a value generated in the counter for the assessed symbol. The said sorter is also configured to restore entry of the symbol in the top tier store, in response to a symbol having moved from said top tier store to another tier store, by using the representative frequency value defined for said another store to which said symbol was moved.

摘要: An apparatus obtains a plurality of waveforms representing measurements of a physical characteristic of a machine's operation and a plurality of performance results of the machine corresponding respectively to the plurality of waveforms, each of the performance results indicative of the machine's performance under conditions at which the measurement represented by the corresponding waveform was made. The apparatus divides each of the waveforms into a common plurality of intervals and calculates, for each of at least one of the intervals, an influence value that represents a degree of influence of the plurality of waveforms on the plurality of performance results over the interval.

摘要: A method and system are provided for performing a security inspection of a set of virtual images in a cloud infrastructure. The method includes merging the virtual images into a tree structure having a root and a plurality of leaves such that child leaves and a parent leaf to the child leaves have common ones of the virtual images. The method further includes identifying a security violation in a given one of the virtual images at a given one of the plurality of leaves. The method also includes applying a bisection method against a path in the tree from the root to the given one of the plurality of leaves to find a particular one of the virtual images that is a root cause of the security violation. The method additionally includes performing a corrective action for any of the plurality of images having the security violation.

摘要: A computer-implemented method for balancing loads of a distributed system having a plurality of nodes via a load balancing scheme is presented. The method includes determining an average load of the plurality of nodes once a request is sent to the distributed system, determining a threshold load value based on the determined average load of the plurality of nodes, and randomly selecting a node of the plurality of nodes based on a hash value. The method further includes determining whether the randomly selected node is above or below the threshold load value, and, if the randomly selected node is above the threshold load value, randomly selecting another node, and if the randomly selected node is below the threshold load value, then selecting such node to process the request.
