A connection apparatus comprises a platform, a plug connector having a plug connector part secured to the platform and electrically connected to the circuit of the field device and a plug connector part connectable with the connection cable and complementary to the first plug connector part, as well as a lid held movably relative to the platform for at least partially covering the plug connector formed by connecting the plug connector parts. The lid is swingable between a first end position, in which the lid at least partially covers the plug connector, and a second end position, and is additionally adapted in at least one open position located between the first end position and the second end position to expose the plug connector such that the plug connector part can be separated from the plug connector part, as well as at least in the first end position to secure the plug connector part connected with the plug connector part.

The invention relates to a field device of measurement- and automation technology, comprising: a measuring transducer which is adapted to register at least one measured variable and, at any one time, to output at least a first measured value representing the measured variable; a display unit which is adapted to display measuring- and/or operating parameters; and an electronic measuring/operating circuit which is adapted to operate the measuring transducer and/or the display unit, as well as to calculate from the first measured value a derived, second measured value. The display unit has a screen that has a first region with a first display technology and a second region with a second display technology. The first region is embodied reflectively or transreflectively and the second region is embodied transmissively.

The invention relates to a method for operating a magneto inductive flow measuring device and to a magneto inductive flow measuring device, wherein at least one magnet system having at least one coil produces a periodically polarity changing magnetic field extending essentially perpendicularly to a longitudinal axis of the measuring tube for inducing a flow dependent voltage in the medium, wherein in a measuring phase for registering at least one voltage value for ascertaining flow velocity or volume flow an essentially constant magnetic field is produced, which is reverse poled in a polarity reversal phase, wherein energy supply during the polarity reversal phase occurs completely from a capacitor.
