Abstract:
Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for a clinical trial for predicting the degree of VR sickness based on a cloud. The apparatus for a clinical trial for predicting the degree of VR sickness includes one or more processors and executable memory for storing at least one program executed by the one or more processors. The at least one program provides VR content to a user, extracts clinical data for predicting the degree of motion sickness of each user, and transmits the clinical data to a cloud server.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a method and apparatus for analyzing elements inducing motion sickness in VR content. The method includes acquiring objective data based on an experiment using the VR content for measuring VR motion sickness, the experiment being conducted according to a predetermined protocol; acquiring subjective data input from the multiple participants of the experiment; and constructing a database based on the objective data and the subjective data and analyzing the degree of motion sickness induced by each of the content elements of the VR content using statistical information based on the database.
Abstract:
A method and system for extracting a visual descriptor using a feature selection are provided. The system includes an image input unit configured to receive an image, a candidate feature point group detecting unit configured to detect a point having a local maximum or minimum of local region filtering in scale-space images as being included in a candidate feature point group, a feature point selecting unit configured to calculate an importance for each candidate feature point, depending on its characteristics, select the candidate feature point as a feature point when its importance is greater than the predetermined threshold value, a dominant orientation calculating unit configured to calculate a dominant orientation of the selected feature point and a visual descriptor extracting unit configured to extract a patch for each feature point, according to its scale, location and dominant orientation, and extract a visual descriptor from the patch.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is an apparatus for analyzing efficiency of virtual task performance of a user interacting with eXtended Reality (XR). The apparatus includes memory in which at least one program is recorded and a processor for executing the program. The program may perform generating user interaction feature information from sensor information of a virtual reality (VR) device, calculating the quality of experience of a user as the values of multiple experience indices based on the feature information by applying a machine-learning model, and evaluating an experience based on a result of mapping the values of the multiple experience indices to generated metrics in order to analyze the effectiveness of the VR experience of the user.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a text recognition method and apparatus based on hand interaction for AR glasses. The text recognition method based on hand interaction for AR glasses includes collecting RGB images, extracting hand joint information from the RGB images, generating a text image based on the hand joint information, recognizing text from the text image, and outputting the recognized text.
Abstract:
