    Abstract: Disclosed is a multi-channel optical signal generating apparatus, which includes a CW laser that generates a single optical signal, an optical signal processor unit that processes the single optical signal, an oscillator that generates an electrical signal, and an electrical signal processor unit that generates a modulation signal, based on the electrical signal, and the optical signal processor unit includes ‘n’ optical circulators, at least one optical intensity modulator, (m-1) optical phase modulators, and ‘n’ BiODLs, the electrical signal processor unit includes a RF power divider which divides the electrical signal, and ‘m’ RF power amplifiers, the RF power divider divides the electrical signal into ‘m’ divided electrical signals, and the optical signal processor unit modulates and outputs the single optical signal by the at least one optical intensity modulator and the (m-1) optical phase modulators, based on the ‘m’ divided electrical signals divided from the RF power divider.

    Abstract: An embodiment of the inventive concept includes an optical signal generating circuit, a controlling circuit, a waveform shaping circuit, and an output circuit. The optical signal generating circuit generates a first optical signal including pulses. The controlling circuit generates a control signal indicating a first pulse to be attenuated in magnitude among the pulses. The waveform shaping circuit attenuates a magnitude of the first pulse based on the control signal and the first optical signal, and generates a second optical signal including pulses corresponding to the pulses included in the first optical signal and the first pulse having the attenuated magnitude. The output circuit outputs an electric signal of bands corresponding to differences between frequencies of the pulses included in the second optical signal based on the second optical signal. A band corresponding to the first pulse among the bands of the electric signal is adjusted as the magnitude of the first pulse is attenuated.

    Abstract: Provided are an optical waveform shaping apparatus and an optical waveform shaping method. According to an embodiment, the optical waveform shaping apparatus includes a multiplexer/demultiplexer (D/MUX) unit demultiplexing an optical signal in which optical signals of a plurality of wavelengths are multiplexed, a micro lens system refracting the demultiplexed optical signal into a collimated beam of light, and a wavelength level controller unit shaping a waveform of the optical signal. The wavelength level controller unit includes a 2D LCoS for adjusting and reflecting an amplitude or a phase value of the demultiplexed optical signal to have a distribution that is desired for each cell, and a controller for controlling the distribution.
