Abstract: A set includes a molding device having a molding face having the same shape as a contact face of the blocking device. A removable overlay of rigid material has a first face attached to a first face of the semi-finished optical element and a second face opposite to the first face having the same shape as the contact face of the blocking device, the set being configured for having a first subset configuration in which the second face of the removable overlay is in molding contact with the molding face of the molding device, then a second subset configuration in which the second face of the removable overlay is free and then a third subset configuration in which the second face of the removable overlay is retained in contact with the contact face of the blocking device.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of preparing an operation of surfacing of a lens blank to transform the lens blank into a generated lens having a predetermined prism corresponding to an inclination between a front surface and a back surface of the generated lens at least locally. The method includes: for a plurality of devices destined to interact with the lens blank during the operation of surfacing to manufacture the predetermined prism of the generated lens, attributing a priority order to each; based on the priority order, attributing to each device a prism portion which is zero or included in a respective range delimited by a respective minimum prism portion and a respective maximum prism portion, the prism portion representing contribution of the corresponding device to the prism of the generated lens, for further interaction of each device with the lens blank during the operation of surfacing.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for transforming an initial progressive ophthalmic surface which has to be manufactured by a manufacturing method, the transformation method comprising: a step of selecting a manufacturing method intended to be implemented, in which said manufacturing method introduces a reproducible surface defect, a step of selecting a predictive model of said reproducible surface defect, a step of selecting an initial progressive ophthalmic surface S intended to be manufactured, a step of determining (S1), during which there is determined, by means of said predictive model, a surface defect value D which would be introduced if the initial progressive ophthalmic surface S were produced by said manufacturing method, a transformation step (S2), during which said initial progressive ophthalmic surface S is transformed into a transformed progressive ophthalmic surface S* by compensating the defect value D determined during the step (S1), such that the subsequent manufacture of the transformed ophthalmic surface S* by said manufacturing method makes it possible to obtain a progressive ophthalmic surface which substantially conforms to the initial progressive ophthalmic surface S.
