Abstract: The invention relates to an ultrasonic transducer with a housing, in which a transducer element for producing and detecting ultrasonic signals and an acoustic transformer are arranged, wherein the acoustic transformer is acoustically and mechanically coupled with the transducer element. The housing includes at least one housing body, which has at least one housing chamber with a housing wall, which housing wall at least partially surrounds the acoustic transformer, wherein the housing is acoustically and mechanically connected with a measuring tube wall or a container wall and wherein the acoustic transformer is connected or connectable mechanically with the housing via a lateral surface of the acoustic transformer by means of a first acoustic insulation, especially an annular first acoustic insulation.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for manufacturing an ultrasonic transducer by exciting the sound wave via an electromechanical transducer disposed on a sensor body, determining a current propagation velocity of the sound wave on an exit surface of the sensor body, determining the difference between the current propagation velocity and the desired propagation velocity of the sound wave on the exit surface, determining difference between speed of sound in the sensor body and a desired speed of sound, removing material in the region of the exit surface of the sensor body, wherein the remaining material is dimensioned such that the current propagation speed of the sound wave on the exit surface of the sensor body, and/or the delay caused by the speed of sound in the sensor body, at least approximately agrees with the desired propagation speed of the sound wave on the exit surface.

Abstract: An ultrasonic measuring device for measuring properties of a medium located in a measuring tube includes a measuring tube wall and a measuring tube lumen. The measuring tube wall has at least one acoustic region designed to be excited into Lamb oscillations. A pair of ultrasonic transducers are located in a coupling region and are designed to excite Lamb oscillations or to detect Lamb oscillations in the respective coupling regions. The device also includes an electronic measuring/operating circuit. A supporting device is designed to support at least parts of the acoustic region against media pressure, and at least one supporting member is designed to absorb forces generated by media pressure. The supporting member has at least one decoupling device which is designed to reduce ultrasonic input from at least one associated acoustic region into the supporting member, and vice versa.
