The present invention relates to new carbazates of the general formula (I), ##STR1## wherein A is C.sub.3-10 alkyl, C.sub.3-10 alkenyl, C.sub.2-10 haloalkyl, trifluoromethyl, phenyl-C.sub.1-3 alkyl, phenyl-C.sub.2-3 -alkenyl, naphthyl-C.sub.1-3 alkyl; phenyl optionally substituted by one or more identical or different substituent(s) selected from C.sub.1-4 alkyl, halogen, C.sub.1-4 alkoxy and hydroxy; C.sub.3-7 cycloalkyl-C.sub.1-3 alkyl; optionally nitro-substituted furyl; diphenyl-hydroxy-methyl or indazolyl optionally substituted by one or more C.sub.1-4 alkoxy group(s) andR represents C.sub.1-4 alkyl,with the proviso that if R stands for ethyl, A is other than tertiary butyl, and acid addition salts thereof, a process for the preparation thereof and feed-additives comprising the same.The compounds of the general formula (I) may be used in animal husbandry due to their weight-gain increasing and fodder utilization improving effect.
