A liquid crystal display apparatus comprises a first substrate having a pixel area, a second substrate facing the first substrate, and a plurality of liquid crystals disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein each liquid crystal comprises about 50 wt % to about 65 wt % of a negative compound material having a dielectric anisotropy of a negative polarity, and about 40 wt % to about 50 wt % of a neutral compound material.
