The wireless earphones further include a second earphone. The first earphone is in communication connection with the terminal. The first earphone is in communication connection with the second earphone. The method includes the following. A first distance between the first earphone and the terminal is determined. A second distance between the second earphone and the terminal is determined. A first message is sent to the second earphone for instructing the second earphone to establish a communication connection with the terminal, when the first distance is greater than or equal to a first threshold value and the second distance is less than a second threshold value.
