An image transmitting device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a processor configured to determine a type of a content image input from the outside and determine a compression ratio according to the determined type of the content image, a compression unit configured to compress the content image based on the determined compression ratio, and a wireless communication unit configured to wirelessly transmit the compressed content image to an image receiving device.
