摘要： A method of modifying playing of media content in a group watch session comprises receiving a command to modify play; determining respective preferences of respective users in the session; and, if it is determined that execution of the command is consistent with the preferences, causing modifying of the playing of at least a portion of the media content based on the received command, e.g., by skipping the portion, jumping to another play position, or rewinding or fast-forwarding through the portion. In this manner, the command is executed, or not executed, based on the preferences of multiple users. The method may include estimating a satisfaction score for the command for the respective users, and comparing the estimated satisfaction scores with a reference score. The portion(s) of the media content for which play is modified may be determined based on the estimated satisfaction scores.

摘要： Systems and methods are presented for providing dynamic summaries of missed content of content streaming on multiple device. A plurality of groups for a concurrent presentation of a content is identified, and a selection is received by a user via a second device to join a first group of the plurality of groups for the concurrent presentation of the content. Based on a user via the second device joining a group, a determination is made as to whether a user via the second device missed any content from the concurrent presentation of the content for the first group. Based on the detection of missed content, the system generates for the second device one or more summaries of the missed content segments and the missed reactions to the segments based on preferences associated with the user profile. In response to generating the summaries, the summaries are presented via the second device to the user.

A theoretical input time and a theoretical output time is determined for a PCR packet received by a Remote PHY device (RPD) or a Remote MACPHY Device (RMD). A corrected PCR value is assigned to the PCR packet, based at least in part, on the theoretical output time and the theoretical output time. Then, the PCR packet having the corrected PCR value is transmitted to customer premises equipment (CPE) in a Converged Cable Access Platform (CCAP). Assigning a corrected PCR value to the PCR packet may be performed without learning an encoding rate associated with a program to which the PCR value is assigned.

Ancillary content is identified. Alternative versions of respective sections of the ancillary content are identified. Metadata corresponding to the alternative versions of ancillary content, metadata corresponding to the item of primary video content, and/or metadata corresponding to the channel are used in selecting a first section from among the alternative versions of a given section. The ancillary content, including the selected first section from among the alternative versions is streamed to the device immediately before, during, or immediately after the item of streaming video content. The alternative versions may be transcoded to generate multiple encoded iterations of respective alternative versions and the encoded versions are stored in a tree data structure.
