    摘要: A hammer device for a keyboard instrument includes a plurality of hammers. Each hammer has a hammer body extending in a front-rear direction and having a front half thereof pivotally supported and a rear half thereof formed with a weight mounting portion. A first weight common in shape and size to the hammers is attached to one of left and right side surfaces of the weight mounting portion. A second weight is attached to the other of the left and right side surfaces of the weight mounting portion. The first weight includes a stopper contact portion which protrudes at least either more upward or more downward than the second weight, and is brought into contact with a stopper in accordance with pivotal movement of the hammer caused by depression of a key associated therewith.

    摘要: Elliptical silicone knuckle or roller for grand piano action with customized durometer reading is an elliptical cylinder shaped knuckle or roller for a grand piano hammer assembly with an elliptical cylinder shaped core that is made of silicone thermoset resin material, which can be molded or manufactured at any desired durometer reading of 10-100 units to yield a piano action and hammer assembly for a grand piano with the exact feel of escapement that is desired by any particular pianist. Escapement is the process whereby the jack stops driving the knuckle just before the hammer hits the strings where the hammer travels the last 1 to 2 mm to the strings on its own inertia and without any contact with the jack. Two embodiments of elliptical silicone knuckle or roller are presented: a wide embodiment and a narrow embodiment.

The action mechanism includes a transmitter which moves in response to key depression to the at least one key, a hammer member which operates, in response to movement of the transmitter, to apply a load to the depressed key, a first abutting part which is arranged on one of the hammer member and a member which the hammer member abuts, and an elastic part which is arranged on another of the hammer member and the member which the hammer member abuts. At least one part of the elastic part gets over the first abutting part in a process of deforming of the elastic part, thereby a let-off feeling is given to the depressed key.

An upper surface of a rear end portion of the lower rear part nearly horizontally extends at a height position lower than that of a key fulcrum. Action units are disposed above respective ones of rear end portions of the keys.
