The present invention relates, in general terms, to X-ray detecting films and uses thereof. The present invention also relates to methods of fabricating the X-ray detecting films. In particular, the X-ray detecting film comprises persistent luminescent nanoparticles dispersed within a flexible polymer matrix, wherein the persistent luminescent nanoparticles are dispersed in the flexible polymer matrix at a concentration of about 0.1% to about 100%.

A simultaneous two-photon absorption recording-reproduction method of recording and reproducing a data by inducing changes in the fluorescence intensities in a recorded part and an unrecorded part by simultaneous two-photon absorption, comprising: generating a fluorescence quencher in a two-photon recording part; and inducing quenching by excitation energy transfer between the fluorescence quencher and a fluorescent dye to physically quench the fluorescence by reproduction light from the fluorescent dye and decrease the fluorescence intensity in the recorded part; and a simultaneous two-photon absorption recording material for use in the method capable of generating a fluorescence quencher capable of inducing quenching by excitation energy transfer between the fluorescence quencher and a fluorescent dye by simultaneous two-photon absorption and physically quenching the fluorescence from the fluorescent dye.

An electronic device includes a casing having a laser light reception region on its outer surface, a receiver that receives transmission data from a partner device, and a suppression member that suppresses leakage of the laser light between the partner device and the electronic device. The partner device includes a laser light emission component and a laser light modulator. The receiver detects, in a state where the partner device and the electronic device are positioned in to communicable positions where the laser light from the partner device is made incident inside the light reception region of the electronic device, the laser light incident inside the light reception region and demodulates the transmission data from the laser light detection result. The suppression member is disposed in at least an area surrounding the light reception region.

In a method of using a donor element in a radiation-induced thermal transfer process, an assemblage is provided that includes a donor element and a receiver element, wherein the donor element has a support layer and a transfer layer having one side adjacent the support layer and the other side adjacent the receiver element. After image-wise exposing the assemblage to radiation whereby a portion of the transfer layer is transferred to the receiver element, relative movement between the support layer and the receiver element is provided before separating the donor element from the receiver element. Advantages include improved edge straightness, image width predictability, improved thermal mass transfer, and improved color filters.
