When one of the first and second pulleys has its minimum groove width, at least a part in a thickness direction of the ring wound around the one of the first and second pulleys protrudes radially outward beyond an outermost circumference of a surface of the V-groove of the one of the first and second pulleys.

Each metal element of the metal belt includes a body portion located radially inward of metal rings, an ear portion located radially outward of the metal rings, and a neck portion sandwiched by the pair of metal rings and connecting the body portion and the ear portion. At least one of a front surface and a rear surface of the metal element has a recess at a center region in a right-left direction of the ear portion, and the depth of the recess is larger than the amount of curving in a front-rear direction of the ear portion.

In a belt track for a minimum gear ratio, surfaces of the first pulley that are in contact with the transmission belt have a lower coefficient of friction relative to the transmission belt than surfaces of the second pulley that are in contact with the transmission belt.

摘要: A drive belt includes a hoop and multiple elements joined together in a loop by the hoop. Each element has an assembly space into which one end portion of the hoop is inserted during assembly. Each element is configured such that a first opening width, which is a distance between a first hook and a second hook, is less than a width of the hoop, and a second opening width, which is a distance between the second hook and a contact site where the one end portion of the hoop housed in the assembly space contacts a first pillar, is greater than the width of the hoop. The first hook and the second hook respectively include a first displacement-restriction surface and a second displacement-restriction surface each configured to restrict relative displacement between the element and the hoop by contacting a corresponding one of edges of the hoop.

The pair of side surfaces each include a first side surface formed on a corresponding one of the pillar parts; and a second side surface formed so as to continue from the first side surface, and located more on an inner circumference side than the first side surface. A pair of the first side surfaces each are formed so as to be inclined toward an inner side of a corresponding one of the pillar parts with respect to an extending direction, from an inner circumference side to an outer circumference side of a ring, of a corresponding one of the second side surfaces continuing from the first side surface, and a pair of the second side surfaces is formed such that the second side surfaces are spaced farther apart from each other as the second side surfaces extend from the inner circumference side to the outer circumference side, and that an angle formed between the pair of the second side surfaces is larger by 0.2 to 0.8 degrees than an opening angle of V-shaped grooves of the pulleys.

摘要: A link belt is provided wherein the link belt is formed of a plurality of links forming a series of links in successive overlapping relation. The link belt includes a first end having a first connector and a second end having a second connector so that the first connector is connected with the second connector to form a continuous loop of link belt. The link belt is formed by applying a lateral force against the assembled link belt while the link belt is under an axial tension to stretch the belt. After the step of stretching the belt, the first connector is connected with the second connector to form a continuous belt.
