Abstract: A canister configured to adsorb evaporated fuel generated in a fuel tank of a vehicle includes a plurality of lumpy adsorbents and an atmosphere port. The plurality of lumpy adsorbents are arranged to be aligned in a flow direction of the evaporated fuel in a flow path through which the evaporated fuel passes, and adsorb the evaporated fuel. The atmosphere port is provided at an end of the flow path, and is open to atmosphere. The plurality of lumpy adsorbents at least include a first lumpy adsorbent and a second lumpy adsorbent adjacent to each other. The first lumpy adsorbent includes at least one protrusion protruding from a surface of the first lumpy adsorbent facing the second lumpy adsorbent. The at least one protrusion forms a gap between the first lumpy adsorbent and the second lumpy adsorbent around the at least one protrusion.

Abstract: A canister includes at least one chamber in which an adsorbent configured to adsorb an evaporated fuel is placed, an inflow port, an atmosphere port, an outflow port, and a case. The case forms a particular chamber in which a granular adsorbent is placed. The particular chamber is one of the at least one chamber. The case includes a side wall and at least one protrusion. The side wall extends from a first end of the particular chamber to a second end of the particular chamber in flow directions, and forms an inner peripheral surface of the particular chamber. At least one protrusion is a part that is formed integrally with the side wall and protrudes from an inner peripheral surface of the side wall.

Abstract: An engine malfunction determination system includes a vehicle engine, an engine sensor system, an engine control module and an electronic display device. The engine sensor system has at least one sensor configured to detect an operation condition of the vehicle engine. The engine control module is in electrical communication with the sensor system to receive a detection signal from the engine sensor system regarding the operation condition of the vehicle engine. The engine control module is programmed to determine an anomaly in the detection signal. The electronic display device is programmed to display an indication of engine malfunction when the engine control module determines that the anomaly in the detection signal exceeds a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for an evaporative emissions system. In one example, a method includes fluidly coupling the evaporative emissions system to an interior volume of a fuel tank in response to a canister load and a fuel tank pressure. The method further includes scaling the evaporative emissions system from atmosphere and an intake manifold.

Abstract: A method and device diagnoses a presence or an absence of an abnormality in an evaporated fuel treatment system. The first intake air amount is a detection value of an air flow meter in a state in which the purge control valve has been opened, and is theoretically the same value as the second intake air amount when a purge control valve is closed. The second intake air amount is a theoretical intake air amount indirectly calculated arithmetically, and is a value that reflects a change in the intake air amount accompanying operations of intake system devices. A presence or an absence of an abnormality in the evaporated fuel treatment system is determined based on the first intake air amount and the second intake air amount after a control duty of the purge control valve has reached 100%.

Abstract: A generator capable of suppressing leakage of a liquid fuel includes a fuel tank that stores the liquid fuel. The fuel tank has a fuel inlet, a tank bulge portion that has the fuel inlet and that bulges to a position higher than the fuel inlet, and a breather path formed of a pipe member communicating between an inside and an outside of the fuel tank. The tank bulge portion is provided with an isolated body forming an isolated space that is isolated from an internal space of the fuel tank. An end part on one side of the pipe member is accommodated inside the isolated body.
