摘要: The present invention relates to inflatable bladder actuated water control gates for control of open channels such as rivers and canals and for control of dam spillways without the need for intermediate piers. The air bladder and hinge flap wedge clamping system includes hinged engagement of the upstream edge of the clamps to the foundation so as to prevent the application of bending and shear loads to the anchor bolts. The resulting configuration facilitates the use of high strength alloy steel anchor bolts in a corrosion protected environment and also prevents tensile loading of the concrete foundation and associated cracking of the concrete foundation.

摘要: A crest gate has movable panels controlled in position by inflatable bladders. Air pressure to the bladders or from the bladders is provided to a control system that automatically regulates panel position. Air is bubbled out of a line that is normally below the water level behind the dam and crest gate panels. An actuator assembly is coupled to a valve for selectively venting the bladders. An elastomeric tire is used to create a positioning effect on the valve such that the control system maintains a precise water level. The gate configuration is improved to resist higher loads.

摘要: A movable dam gate hydraulically driven through a fixed strut to maintain regulate a pool of water upstream of a dam, the present gate structure is placed in series as a plurality of units to form a desired length of movable dam. The dam gates of the invention are operated from within a dry gallery which contains a single hydraulic cylinder and associated electric motor-drive hydraulic pump and oil reservoir for each gate. The dry gallery allows ready inspection and maintenance of the hydraulic equipment and prevents silting of the equipment such as occurs in prior art wet recesses within which hydraulic cylinders and associated apparatus have been previously operated. The present gate and gate system can be operated remotely, thereby providing greater safety and convenience to personnel.

摘要: This invention relates to river control structures, of the kind known as upstream tilting gates. A structure in accordance with the invention includes a chamber, (1, 2, 3 and 4) and a tilting platform (5). The upstream end of the platform includes a curved transverse wall (10), consisting of a plurality of leaves (12 and 13). When the platform is raised, the leaves provide a continuous wall between the platform and the top of the chamber, while when the platform is lowered, the leaves slide behind each other and are accommodated in the chamber. The structure also includes a channel (7, 8 and 9), extending along the length of the platform. The channel is provided with baffles to limit the flow of water down the channel, to enable fish to surmount the structure.
