    摘要： A method of making a tire includes making a carcass structure; applying a belt structure, tread band, and at least one pair of sidewalls; and vulcanizing the tire. Making the carcass structure involves formation of at least one first carcass ply, including preparing and depositing at least one continuous strip element onto a toroidal support in alternating deposition sections. Each deposition section extends in a substantially U-shaped conformation against a profile in transverse section of the toroidal support or a previously deposited deposition section, substantially over an entire length of the section, to define two side portions, a crown portion, and two transition regions defined between the side and crown portions. The crown portions of the deposition sections are arranged consecutively in side-by-side relationship along a circumferential extension of the toroidal support. Edges of circumferentially consecutive deposition sections abut evenly along their entire crown portions extending between the transition regions.

Each loop (7, 8) is wound about a respective bead (2), and has an open end (10) engaging the closed end (11) of the other loop (8, 7).

    摘要： The process for manufacturing pneumatic tires comprises as essential step the manufacture of a tire body by winding cords or cables (3, 23, 35). The cord or cable is withdrawn from a supply reel (7) under constant tension and laid around and anchored to the bead cores (2; 22; 36; 39) arranged at both sides of the tire. In addition a peripherally extending belt is applied which again can be formed by winding cords or cables, and the tire is completed by injection molding or die casting elastomeric material. An apparatus suitable for performing said process comprises in addition to an interior mold (1, 21, 38) two sets of outer molds, the first set allowing the shaping of an inner tire layer provided with protrusions serving as spacers for the winding of cables or cords and the second set corresponding to the external shape of the tire (FIG. 2).
