摘要: A wheelchair that prevents the secondary transmission of germs, including a seat, a drive mechanism, antibacterial fabric, and a dirt-retaining board. The drive mechanism is symmetrically provided about the seat. The drive mechanism includes a frame, front wheels, rear wheels, and drive wheels. The frame is fixedly connected to the seat. The front wheels, the rear wheels, and the drive wheels are all rotated and set on the frame. The drive wheels are not coaxial with the front wheels and rear wheels and do not interfere with each other. Drive wheels are connected to the rear wheels by transmission. The dirt-retaining boards are installed on the rear wheels in coordination. The active wheels, the seat, the armrests, and the push handles are sleeved thereon with antimicrobial fabric.

摘要: A neural network model is in communication with a plurality of sensors to evaluate and determining an operating condition and/or life expectancy of one or more electrical or mechanical subsystems of personal mobility vehicle. The neural network model evaluates subsystem operation in the context of a personal mobility vehicle operational state to determine component status and generate an output indicative of one of component state of health or subsystem operation.

摘要: A tandem wheelchair assembly for wheeling two people simultaneously includes a front wheelchair and a rear wheelchair, which can seat a first person and a second person, respectively, and which comprise a first frame and a second frame, respectively. A plate is fixedly attached, by its first end, proximate to a rear end of the first frame so that the plate extends from the rear end. A forward end of the second frame is attached to a second end of the plate. The plate extends between the front wheelchair and the rear wheelchair and is substantially parallel to a surface upon which the front wheelchair and the rear wheelchair are positioned. Feet of the second person can be rested upon the plate. An attendant is positioned to wheel the first person and the second person simultaneously across the surface.

摘要: Provided is a lightweight and inexpensive wheelchair that can be easily operated with either a right or left hand. The wheelchair according to the present invention is provided with; a pair of handrims having a first portion and a second portion; a drive mechanism for transmitting a first rotational force generated by the first portion on one side to a wheel on another side, and for transmitting a second rotational force generated by the first portion on the other side to a wheel on the one side, wherein the drive mechanism includes an axle on the one side, an axle on the other side connected to the axle on the one side via a rotary shaft, a first two-way clutch located on the axle on the one side, and a second two-way clutch located on the axle on the other side.

摘要: A brake actuation mechanism for a human powered mobility device, such as a lever drive wheelchair, is described. The brake actuation mechanism may include an actuator member positioned at or near an end of a lever drive such that the actuator member may be actuated or engaged by a user's thumb when grasping a lever of the human mobility device. Since the lever may drive motion of human mobility device, the user may maintain a firm grip on the lever while also manipulating or engaging the actuator member.

摘要: A drive assembly can comprise a plurality of drive arms that are configured to receive a tangential drive force and convert the tangential drive force to a torque about a first axis. A driven rotatable element can be rotatable about a second axis that is parallel to the first axis. A coupling subassembly can couple the plurality of drive arms to the driven rotatable element so that the first axis is movable with respect to the second axis in first and second dimensions that are perpendicular to each other and the first and second axes. The coupling subassembly can be configured to bias the driven rotatable element toward a position in which the first axis is collinear with the second axis.

摘要: A system and method for improving stability of a wheelchair user includes a wheelchair having sensors measuring motion parameters to sense collisions and sharp turns which may unseat the user. Neuromuscular stimulating electrodes attached to extensor and flexor muscles of the user's trunk and under the command of a controller in communication with the sensors activate the muscles during turns and collisions to counteract the forces induced. A system and method for increasing manual propulsion efficiency includes sensors for sensing motion parameters indicating completion of a manual push of the wheelchair wheels and recovery from the push. Neuromuscular stimulating electrodes attached to extensor and flexor muscles of the user's trunk and under the command of a controller in communication with the sensors activate the muscles at the appropriate time in the cycle of push and recovery.

摘要: Personal transportation aid that can be converted easily between a wheelchair and a walker. The device has handles that can be pushed forward to switch from wheelchair mode to walker mode. Pushing the handles forward causes the seat bottom of the wheelchair to flip up, opening a space where the user can stand to use the walker; the front wheels of the wheelchair are also pushed forward. Pulling the handles backwards returns the device to its wheelchair configuration, with the seat bottom flipped down and the front wheels moved backwards. Simple mechanical linkages may be used to flip the seat bottom up and down, and to push the front wheels forward and backwards; therefore the device does not require a power source or actuators.

摘要: The present invention relates to an electrical assistance device (1) for a wheelchair (100) having a seat (103) and at least one rear wheel (104, 105) having a tyre (110), the electrical assistance device (1) comprising: at least one motor (2) having a rotor (22) connected to a pinion (4) designed to mesh with a complementary toothset of the tyre (110), and a mobile arm (6) connecting said motor (2) to the wheelchair (100). The mobile arm (6) allows said motor (2) to be manoeuvred between an engaged position in which the pinion (4) is in contact with the complementary toothset of said tyre (110), a disengaged position in which the pinion (4) is not in contact with the complementary toothset of said tyre (110) and a transport position in which the pinion (4) is distanced from the tyre (110) and retracted beneath the seat (103).
