The composite material has a tensile strength between 5.5 MPa and 70 MPa and a density between 0.15 g/cc and 1.2 g/cc.

Abstract: A chair has a chair back including a frame, two supporting legs and a bearing plate. The frame is integrated to the supporting legs in an injection molding manner. The bearing plate is integrated to a bottom frame portion and two side frame portions of the frame in the injection molding manner so that a user can lean against the bearing plate. The two side frame portions are located on two opposite sides of the bottom frame portion. The hardness of the bearing plate is lower than the hardness of the frame, and the hardness of the frame is lower than the hardness of the supporting leg. Therefore, two members whose materials are different in hardness are possibly constitute a chair back formed in one piece.

Abstract: An upholstered recliner, a frame including a pair blow molded hollow arm rest forms. Further components may be blow molded such as a back rest. The arm rest forms and backrest forms may be reinforced with metal plates and assembled into a recliner. The backrest form may have legs with kd brackets secured thereto by clamping onto the portions of the legs of the backrest forms. The connections to the backrest form and arm rest forms providing a geometrically rigid and robust frame that is weighs less, is quicker to assemble, and is more robust that conventional wood frame recliners.
