Abstract: A damper assembly for single-axis tracker supported by truss foundations. Truss leg damper brackets are attached to each truss leg and provide a fixed mounting point for the lower end of a damper spring. Different techniques may be used to effect mechanical engagement between the leg bracket and truss leg to prevent movement under load. Aligning each damper spring with a truss leg may eliminate moments that must ordinarily be resisted when damper springs are attached to a monopile foundation.

Abstract: A solar tracker assembly comprises a support column, a torsion beam connected to the support column, a mounting mechanism attached to the torsion beam, a drive system connected to the torsion beam, and a torsion limiter connected to an output of the drive system. When an external force causes a level of torsion on the drive system to exceed a pre-set limit the torsion limiter facilitates rotational movement of the solar tracker assembly in the direction of the torsion, thereby allowing the external force to rotate about a pivot axis extending through the torsion beam. Exemplary embodiments also include methods of aligning a plurality of rows of solar trackers.

Furthermore, the invention relates to a linearly concentrating solar power plant with at least one pipeline loop (47) having at least one receiver in which a heat transfer medium flowing through the pipeline loop (47) is heated by irradiating solar energy, a mixing device (27) being comprised, in which at least part of the heat transfer medium flowing through the pipeline loop (47) is mixed with heat transfer medium to be delivered.

The photovoltaic support further includes a first movable connecting piece (140) provided on the foundation and connected with a second end of the first vertical upright column (110). The first movable connecting piece (140) is automatically adjusted according to the wind intensity, such that the first vertical upright column (110) moves in a vertical direction to adjust an inclination angle of the beam (130). The photovoltaic support can adjust the angle adaptively in the case of a strong wind, and restore automatically after the strong wind has passed.

The damper assembly includes a first end pivotably connected to the torque tube and a second end pivotably connected to the column. The damper assembly further includes an outer shell, a piston within and moveable relative to the outer shell, a first chamber wall and a second chamber wall within the outer shell at least partially defining a chamber, and a valve within the chamber. The valve includes a first axial end defining a slot and is biased to a first position within the chamber in which the first axial end is spaced from the first chamber wall. The valve is moveable within the chamber from the first position to a second position to passively change a flow resistance of the damper assembly.
