摘要： A shoe cover device is disclosed for a shoe having a top surface and a heel, the device protecting the top surface of the shoe from hair or any harmful effects of chemicals used in hair salons. The device includes a protective cover of shield-shaped configuration for protecting the top surface of the shoe, the cover having a first and a second edge. An edging tape has a first and a second face and a first and a second side and a first and a second termination, the edging tape being folded such that the first side lies over the second side of the tape so that the tape defines a channel for the reception therein of the first edge of the protective cover. A row of stitches extend between the first termination and the second termination of the tape so that the cover is attached to the tape by the row of stitches. An expandable member has a first and a second extremity, the first extremity being secured to the first termination of the edging tape and extending from the first termination. The second extremity of the member is secured to the second termination of the edging tape and extends from the second termination. The arrangement is such that the tape and the expandable member cooperate together to define therebetween an opening for the removable insertion therein of the top surface of the shoe so that the cover is releasably secured about the top surface of the shoe. Also, a strap has a first and a second end, the first end of the strap being fastened to the first extremity of the expandable member. The second end of the strap is fastened to the second extremity of the expandable member. The strap, in use of the device, extends around the heel of the shoe so that the cover is firmly located over the top surface of the shoe by an interaction of the expandable member and the strap.

Hook-and-loop fasteners, which are preferred, or other fasteners are used for fastening the foot-covering portion releasably to itself when and where folded onto itself, at any one of plural positions. Hook-and-loop fasteners, if used therefor, enable the foot-covering portion to be releasably fastened to itself when and where folded onto itself, at any position within a range of possible positions. The protective boot has two hook-and-loop straps, each drawn around the protective boot and fastened to itself and to said fastening means. One such strap is drawn around the foot-covering portion, between the toe end and the ankle-covering portion, and the other strap is drawn around the ankle-covering portion.

摘要： The present invention provides an improved overshoe for protecting an individual's shoe from wear and tear. In particular, this invention can provide an overshoe that can accommodate a variety of heights and forms of heels for different styles of shoes. The overshoe has a main body portion having a cavity and an opening to the cavity. The cavity and opening are sized to allow a shoe to fit through the opening and into the cavity so that the sole of the shoe and at least a portion of the upper covering of the shoe are covered by the main body portion. A heel portion extends from the main body portion and has a surrounding wall that defines a longitudinally extending cavity adapted to receive and cover the heel of the shoe when the shoe is within the cavity of the main body portion. The surrounding wall of the heel portion is convoluted over at least a portion of the longitudinal extent of the heel portion. The convolutions allow the heel portion to longitudinally expand or contract to accommodate different heights of heels of shoes.

摘要： The thermal foot cover is an article of footwear to be worn when the wearer's foot is subjected to cold temperatures. The thermal foot cover has an upper cover portion attached to a bottom panel to define a cavity for insertion of a wearer's shoe-encased or boot-encased foot or a wearer's foot. The upper cover portion and the bottom panel are made from a material comprising an outer covering, a radiant barrier and a inner covering where the radiant barrier is sandwiched between the outer cover and the inner cover. The radiant barrier is the insulation system of the thermal foot cover, which reflects the wearer's body heat back inside the footwear and keeps the wearer's feet warm. The thermal foot cover is flexible, lightweight and readily washable due to the use of the radiant barrier as the insulation system. The addition of a cavity enlargement means and a means for fastening the cavity enlargement means can be used to facilitate the insertion of the wearer's shoe-encased or boot-encased foot or the wearer's foot into the thermal foot cover and facilitate securing of the thermal foot cover to the wearer's shoe-encased or boot-encased foot or the wearer's foot and ankle to prevent loss of body heat when the thermal foot cover is being worn. A coating may be added to bottom of the thermal foot cover to provide a non-skid surface for walking. A flexible sole may also be provided for increased durability.

Finally, a version of the cover is provided that has a reinforced tip portion, such as for soccer players.

Resilient shock absorbers can vary from coiled springs to vacuum formed hemispheres customized to user preference. Shock absorbers can be frangibly attached to the heel pocket for replacement or additions according to user preferences.
