Abstract: Systems and methods for fraud detection and prevention is disclosed. The system may receive a transaction request for a first customer including a transaction location, transaction time stamp, and merchant type code. The system may determine whether the transaction location is expected for the first customer. When the transaction location is unexpected, the system may identify a last-known video detection having a last-known time stamp and last-known location. The system may determine a travel time estimate between the last-known location and the transaction location and determine a buffer based on the merchant type code. The system may compare the travel time estimate to an allotted time that includes a difference between the transaction time stamp and last-known time stamp less the buffer. When the travel time estimate exceeds the allotted time, the system may execute one or more fraud prevention steps.

Abstract: A transmitter for transmitting a secure access signal to a system for providing secure access to a controlled item is disclosed. The access is dependent on information contained in the secure access signal. The transmitter comprises a biometric sensor for receiving a biometric signal and a processor for matching the biometric signal against members of a database of biometric signatures. The transmitter comprises enabling means for enabling an inductive circuit, based on the matching of the biometric signal, to transmit the secure access signal conveying the information to the system upon the inductive circuit being placed within range of a radio frequency field emitted by the system.

Abstract: This disclosure provides various embodiments of systems and methods for secure communications. In one aspect, the system includes a secure payment module (SPM) in a fuel dispenser and a point-of-state (POS) system. The POS system stores a public key certificate uniquely identifying the SPM and is configured to dynamically generate a first session key. The POS system encrypts the first session key with a public key associated with the public key certificate, and transmits the encrypted first session key to the SPM. The SPM, which stores a private key associated with the public key certificate, is configured to receive and decrypt the first session key. The SPM is further configured to receive a set of magnetic card data from a card reader, encrypt the set of magnetic card data with the first session key, and transmit the encrypted set of magnetic card data to the POS system.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provides a secure key management and data transmission system that includes a transmission system, a data consumer network device, a user network device, and a data transmission network. The transmission management system is configured to receive user-specific data from the user network device via the data transmission network and receive a request for a service corresponding to processing the user-specific data according to a proprietary process provided by the data consumer network device. The transmission management system is also configured to generate service response data based on processing the user-specific data according to the proprietary process in response to the received request, encrypt the service response data to become single-encrypted service response data, transmit the single-encrypted service response data to the data consumer network device, and receive and store double-encrypted service response data from the user network device.
