    Abstract: A mechanism for performing capacitive level sensing of fluid within a fluid container supported on a movable carrier comprises a conductive probe, a probe position sensor, and a movable grounding element. The probe is configured for capacitive level sensing by detecting a signal or change of signal based on capacitance when the probe, or a conductive tip removably attached to the probe, contacts the surface of the fluid within the container. The probe position sensor is for monitoring a vertical position of the probe and recording the position at which the signal or change of signal is detected. The movable grounding element is configured for selective movement relative to a container positioned by the movable carrier at a level-sensing location with respect to the probe until the grounding element is in close proximity to or in contact with a portion of the container.

The system further includes a capacitor having a first plate (142a) and a second plate (142b), the wall portions including a first wall portion having the first plate (142a) and a second wall portion having the second plate (142b). When the container is in the receiving space, a capacitance of the capacitor depends on a level of substance in the container (200). The system also includes a processor configured to determine the level of the substance in the container (200) based on the capacitance of the capacitor.

    Abstract: A well bore fluid sensor is provided that includes an inner plate, a plurality of outer plates, first and second cable fixtures, and an electronics module. The inner plate defines a sensor interior cavity. The outer plates include a first outer plate and a second outer plate. The electronics module includes a resonant circuit and a power supply and is in signal communication with the inner plate and at least one of the first and second cable fixtures. The inner plate, the first and second outer plates, and the first and second cable fixtures are coupled together to form a unitary structure. The inner plate is electrically insulated from the first and second outer plates, the first and second cable fixtures. The first and second outer plates are electrically insulated from one another.     Abstract: This disclosure generally relates to a capacitive sensor for determining a fluid level in a milk container.     Abstract: A liquid filter, for example for a condensate reservoir (1), formed of a printed circuit board (8) comprising a plurality of holes (9) forming a filter screen through the printed circuit board. A first set of capacitive elements (16, 17) are formed in the printed circuit board (8) forming a first capacitive sensor (12) capable of measuring the depth of the liquid adjacent to the filter. The capacitive elements (16,17) may be shielded (19) on one side such that they measure the depth on one side of the filter. A second set of capacitive elements (16′, 17′) may be provided to measure the depth of the liquid on the opposite side of the filter.
