Abstract: A structured tissue belt assembly including a supporting layer, a non-woven web contacting layer, and one or more laser welds that attach the bottom surface of the web contacting layer to the top surface of the supporting layer. The structured tissue belt assembly allows for air flow in x, y and z directions. In exemplary embodiments, the structured tissue belt assembly has an embedment distance between the supporting layer and the web contacting layer of 0.05 mm to 0.60 mm and a peel force between the web contacting layer and the supporting layer of at least 650 gf/inch.

Abstract: A preparation method for artificial leather, includes applying a weaving process. The weaving includes adopting at least two groups of warp or weft yarns, and weaving each group of yarns into a monolayer structure to form at least two monolayer structures. Each of the monolayer structures is woven with some of the warp and/or weft yarns in such layer or with some of the warp and/or weft yarns in another layer to form a number of connecting points, such that at least two monolayer structures arranged in an orderly manner as two laminates are connected with each other by the weaving process, thereby forming a multi-layer integrated base fabric. The method includes bonding the base fabric and a resin layer together to form an artificial leather; and punching holes multiple air vent holes in the leather distributed in the resin layer and base fabric in the thickness direction.

The microplastic collection outer layer includes a plurality of openings therein for collecting microplastics from a body of water. The microplastic attraction and capture middle layer attracts and captures the microplastics collected by the microplastic collection outer layer. The water resistant protection layer protects a wearer's skin against the microplastics captured by the microplastic attraction and capture middle layer.

Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for reinforcing a high-temperature, high pressure pipe. In one embodiment, a reinforcing material (e.g., carbon fiber) and an epoxy resin composition are applied to an inner or outer surface of a pipe. The epoxy resin composition is cured in situ, thereby forming a cured composite material attached to the inner or outer surface of the pipe. The cured composite material comprises a cured epoxy resin composition having a Tg of at least about 250° F. (121.1° C.).

Abstract: A burn resistant barrier composite for application to a roof or wall of a building incorporates a metal foil in a woven fabric to improve burn through resistance. The barrier composite may be a roof underlayment or a housewrap. A barrier composite incorporates a polymer film attached to a metal foil that is cut into tapes and then woven into a woven fabric. The polymer film may be a tensilized polymer film that has increase modulus through orienting the film. The space between the tapes in the woven fabric provides permeability for moisture vapor. An additional barrier layer may be attached to the woven fabric to prevent moisture and/or water transfer through the barrier composite or to enable moisture vapor transmission through the barrier composite. An adhesive may be attached to the barrier composite to enable direct adhesion to a wall or roof surface.

Abstract: A woven EMI sleeve has a wall with opposite edges extending lengthwise between opposite ends. The wall is wrapped about a central longitudinal axis into a tubular configuration bounding an enclosed cavity sized for receipt of an elongate member therein. The wall is woven with warp filaments extending generally parallel to the central longitudinal axis and weft filaments extending generally transversely to the warp filaments. The warp filaments include conductive filaments provided as wire filaments and separate non-conductive warp filaments. The weft filaments include heat-set filaments that are heat-formed to bias the wall into the tubular configuration and to bias opposite edges into overlapping relation with one another. The weft filaments also include conductive filaments.

Abstract: An artificial leather includes a resin layer as the surface and a base fabric connected to the resin layer as the substrate. The base fabric comprises at least two monolayer structures arranged in an orderly manner as two laminates. Each monolayer structure is woven with some of the warp yarns and/or weft yarns in such layer or with some of the warp yarns and/or weft yarns in one or more other layers to form a number of connecting points, such that at least two monolayer structures arranged in an orderly manner as two laminates are connected with each other in the weaving process, forming a multi-layer integrated base fabric. The artificial leather incorporates a number of air vent holes distributed in the resin layer and the base fabric in the direction of thickness while retaining mechanical properties of tensile strength and tear resistance.
