Abstract:
An extensible-retractable helically reinforced hose is formed by helically wrapping a freshly extruded bead of thermoplastic material about a rotating mandrel to form a helical array of spaced reinforcing coils, and by helically wrapping a freshly extruded thin yet wide web of thermoplastic material so edge regions of the wide web are placed onto and bond continuously with the peripheries of each adjacent pair of the reinforcing coils, with a leading edge region of each new wrap of the web overlying and bonding to a trailing edge region of a prior web wrap. Central portions of each web wrap extend radially inwardly and are sandwiched between adjacent reinforcing coils when the hose is retracted to a minimal axial length.
Abstract:
A device for occluding a vasculature of a patient including a micrograft having an absorbent polymeric structure with a lumen of transporting blood. The micrograft has a series of peaks and valleys formed by crimping. The occluding device is sufficiently small and flexible to be tracked on a guidewire and/or pushed through a microcatheter to a site within the vasculature of the patient. Delivery systems for delivering the micrografts are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A corrugated pipe includes a corrugated pipe body circumscribing a hollow conduit and including alternating ribs and valleys extending along a longitudinal axis between a first end and a second end thereof. An electrically conductive wire is embedded in the corrugated pipe body, so that the wire spans adjacent ribs and valleys and extends substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis between the first and second ends.
Abstract:
The invention refers to a flexible conduit element (1) for the joint between an exhaust gas system and a combustion engine of a vehicle, comprising a bellows member (2) which defines a guiding channel (10) for guiding the exhaust gas of the combustion engine to an exhaust gas system, wherein at least a portion of a side surface of the bellows member (2) is coated with a high polymer layer (80), and an exhaust gas system for a vehicle having such a flexible conduit element.

Abstract:
A purpose of the present invention is to provide a technology that allows corrugated tubes of various diameter sizes to be easily and reliably cut at a convex portion. In order to achieve the purpose, a cutting device is provided with a feeder feeding a corrugated tube such that an axial direction of the corrugated tube lies along a feeding path; a cutter cutting along a circumferential direction of the corrugated tube being fed along the feeding path; and an imager capturing an image of a planned cutting position of the corrugated tube. A controller performs image analysis of the captured image of the planned cutting position to determine whether the planned cutting position is a convex portion of the corrugated tube and, when a positive determination result is obtained, causes the cutter to cut the corrugated tube at the planned cutting position.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an openable corrugated hose for accommodating lines, comprising: a first corrugated hose shell, a second corrugated hose shell, a joint section, at which the first corrugated hose shell and the second corrugated hose shell are each connected to one another pivotably in a first end section, and a lip section, which is provided on a second end section of at least one of the corrugated hose shells, wherein the lip section is manufactured from a different material than the corrugated hose shells.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method are provided for making a conduit divided into channels by one or more strip-shaped substrates. The channels may be used for cables, such as fiber optic cables, coaxial cables, electrical cables, electrical wiring, and the like. Each divided conduit provides channels that allow e.g., cables to be pulled through without snagging or excessive heat build-up due to friction. In addition, the divided conduits do not allow contact or alternation losses between adjacent cables in other channels of the conduit.
Abstract:
A protection tube with latch in which a latch that is formed engageable with an attachment hole of a panel is molded integral with a protection tube that receives an electric wire, and a manufacturing apparatus of the protection tube with latch. The protection tube with latch includes a latch to be engaged with the attachment hole of the panel having the electric wire wired therein disposed on an outer peripheral face of the protection tube that is formed tubular and receives the electric wire.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing high speed pressure compensator-type drip irrigation tubes and the tubes obtained thereby having absolute radial orientation of molecular chains, the orientation imparting strength as well as flexibility to the tube material. The said method comprises extruding a tube using a plurality of extruders; blowing up the extruded tube by introducing a pressure inside the tube relatively higher than the pressure outside the tube; drawing the blown tube simultaneously to the blowing of tube; flattening the blown tube by heat welding the collapsed halves together and forming a tape immediately, subsequent to the process of blowing and drawing the tube; extrusion of a bonding polymer on one border of the tape; printing flow channels into the hot and viscous bonding polymer; and forming a tube by lengthwise folding the tape and heat welding the overlapping borders together using the bonding polymer.
