Abstract: The present invention provides a mechanism in which the power of a vortex flow can be maintained strong so as to efficiently mix a liquid and a powder. A system for mixing liquid and powder according to the present embodiment is provided with: a powder-liquid mixing unit 20 which has a casing 21 for accommodating therein a powder and a liquid to be mixed together and discharges a mixture from an outlet opening 27 at the bottom of the casing 21; a powder supply unit 10 which is disposed above the powder-liquid mixing unit 20 and supplies a powder to the casing 21; an injection unit 22 which is provided at an upper portion of the casing 21 and injects a liquid into the casing; and a first pump 30 which is connected to the outlet opening 27 of the casing 21 and suctions the mixture inside the casing.

Abstract: The present technology presents an apparatus for cleaning the air and surfaces within an enclosed space of a viral, microbial, or malodor contamination. In an exemplary embodiment, the apparatus includes: a container configured to contain a water and a solid or gel pack that releases the gaseous cleaning agent upon contact with the water; an aerator housed in the base of the container; an air distributor in the container configured to distribute air from the aerator into the container to cause agitation of the water and release of gaseous agent; and a lid on the container having an opening configured to accelerate an air-borne spray of gaseous agent and water droplets therethrough into the surroundings.

Abstract: The invention provides a device for enhancing liquid-liquid emulsification. The device includes a jet part and a mixing part connected to the jet part. The jet part includes a feed tee for feeding major and dispersed phases, wherein the feed tee includes a first port, a second port, and a third port. The first port is used for feeding the major phase, and the second port is equipped with an ejector for feeding the dispersed phase. The ejector consists of an ejector housing and an ejector inlet section, as well as a spiral structure, a flow-guided structure, and an ejector pin structure that are connected sequentially. The mixing part includes a mixer comprising a cylindrical mixer shell, a mixer inlet section, a mixer outlet section, as well as a spiral section, a cavity section, and a variable diameter section for enhancing emulsion breakup and dispersion. A method for enhancing liquid-liquid emulsification is also disclosed. The emulsion produced by the device and method of the invention is uniformly dispersed, has long stability, and the device has a compact structure and low energy consumption. It is particularly suitable for liquid-liquid emulsification processes in fields such as chemical industry, food, coatings, and cosmetics.

Abstract: An aftertreatment system comprises: a housing, a SCR system disposed in the housing. A mixer is disposed upstream of the SCR system and includes: a hub, a tubular member disposed circumferentially around the hub and defining a reductant entry port, and plurality of vanes extending from the hub to the tubular member such that openings are defined between adjacent vanes. The plurality of vanes swirl the exhaust gas in a circumferential direction. A reductant injector is disposed on the housing upstream of the SCR system along a transverse axis and configured to insert a reductant into the exhaust gas flowing through the housing through the reductant entry port. The reductant is inserted at a non-zero angle with respect to the transverse axis opposite the circumferential direction to achieve virtual interception. A mixer central axis is radially offset with respect to a housing central axis of the housing.
