    摘要: A subscriber module of a fixed wireless access communication system comprises an offset Gregorian antenna arrangement, an array of antenna elements arranged as a feed, a beamforming network and a processor. The processor is configured to provide, to the beamformer, a pre-determined plurality of antenna weight vectors configured to form a plurality of beams, the orientations of the plurality of beams being arranged in a grid comprising a plurality of rows, each of the pre-determined plurality of antenna weight vectors being configured to form a respective beam from the primary reflector dish of the Gregorian antenna arrangement by forming a respective feed beam from the array of antenna elements. The relationship between the azimuth and elevation direction of each feed beam and the azimuth and elevation direction of the respective beam from the primary reflector dish is a non-linear function of azimuth and elevation.

    摘要: A radio frequency transmission arrangement comprises a ground plate having an aperture comprising a slot with an elongate cross-section and substantially parallel sides, and a first and second transmission line. The thickness of the ground plate is greater than a width of the slot. The aperture is partially filled with a solid dielectric material and partially filled with air. The first transmission line comprises a first elongate conductor on a first side of the ground plate and has an end terminated with a first termination stub. The second transmission line comprises a second elongate conductor on the opposite side of the ground plate and has an end terminated with a second termination stub. The first transmission line is arranged to cross the slot at a point adjacent to the first termination stub, and the second transmission line is arranged to cross the slot at a point adjacent to the second termination stub.

    摘要: Data is transmitted from a first wireless station comprising first and second transmitters to a second wireless station comprising first and second receivers. In the absence of radio link failure detection, first data is transmitted via a first radio link from the first transmitter to the first receiver using a first subset of first radio resource blocks and transmitting second data via a second radio link from the second transmitter to the second receiver using second subset of the first radio resource blocks. The first and second radio links are monitored for a failure. If first radio link failure is detected, the second radio link is operated using a combination of the first and second subsets of the first radio resource blocks. If second radio link failure is detected, the first radio link is operated using a combination of the first and second subsets of the first radio resource blocks.

    摘要: Packets are routed in a data network comprising a wireless mesh network and a controller providing IPv6 management traffic to nodes of the wireless network. A monitor function and a route table manager are used to generate a route table relating IPv6 addresses to each of the nodes via a respective one of a plurality of POP nodes, by accessing a pre-configured topology file, determining the reachability of each of the plurality of POP nodes from the controller by periodically sending test messages from the monitor function to each POP and detecting acknowledgement of the test messages. If a POP node is not reachable, the route table is updated to relate the IPv6 subnet of the POP that is not reachable to the address of a POP node that is reachable. A Layer 2 network is used to direct the IPv6 management traffic according to the amended route table.
