Abstract: A device may determine traffic information of a user equipment (UE) operating in a first operating mode. The first operating mode may be associated with the UE monitoring a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), via a first bandwidth part (BWP), according to a first rate. The device may determine, based on the traffic information, that the UE is to operate in a different operating mode including one of: a second operating mode associated with monitoring the PDCCH, via the first BWP, according to a second rate exceeding the first rate, a third operating mode associated with monitoring the PDCCH, via a second BWP less than the first BWP, according to the second rate, or a fourth operating mode associated with monitoring the PDCCH, via the second BWP, according to the first rate. The device may cause the UE to transition to the different operating mode.

Abstract: The instant application describes a method for identifying, at a mobile device, a first signal delay path to a first tower; identifying, at the mobile device, a second signal delay path to a second tower; determining, at the mobile device, a difference between the first signal delay path and the second signal delay path; determining, at the mobile device, whether the difference between the first signal delay path and the second signal delay path exceeds a threshold; and upon determining the difference between the first signal delay path and the second signal delay path exceeds the threshold, transmit from the mobile device two streams of a same signal to a receiver at a network. Abstract: A base station may receive uplink data identifying uplink performance indicators associated with user equipment connected to the base station, and may receive tuning factors associated with shared channel traffic received by the user equipment and quality of service requirements of the user equipment. The base station may determine a total score associated with utilizing a long duration physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) format for uplink control information based on the uplink data and the tuning factors. The base station may determine that the total score satisfies a threshold score and may switch to the long duration PUCCH format for the uplink control information based on the total score satisfying the threshold score. The base station may perform one or more actions based on switching to the long duration PUCCH format for the uplink control information.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments are directed toward improvements in dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS) between cellular network technologies. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed comprising initiating scheduling for a resource in a slot and determining a neighboring base station associated with user equipment (UE). The method then determines a type of interference associated with the neighboring base station and the slot and identifies an outer loop link adaptation (OLLA) value associated with the type of interference. An effective data rate is calculated based on the OLLA value and the method completes scheduling using the effective data rate.

Abstract: In some implementations, a device may determine a signal to interference and noise ratio (SINR) value associated with a communication channel between a user equipment and the device. The device may select, based on the SINR value, a channel quality indicator (CQI) value associated with the communication channel or a sounding reference signal (SRS) from the UE to determine a multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) configuration for transmitting data to the UE. The device may determine the MIMO configuration according to the CQI value based on the SINR value being a first value. The device may determine the MIMO configuration according to the SRS based on the SINR value being a second value that is different than the first value. The device may transmit the data to the UE using the MIMO configuration.

The device may cause another slice, with the same attributes as the slice, to be instantiated when the total cost satisfies a threshold for a time period.

Abstract: A base station may be associated with a primary cell to communicate with a user equipment (UE) in a licensed frequency band and at least one secondary cell to communicate with the UE in an unlicensed frequency band. The base station may receive a traffic flow associated with an application executing at the UE and assign the traffic flow to either the primary cell or the at least one secondary cell based on a classification associated with the traffic flow. For example, the traffic flow may be assigned to the primary cell based on the classification indicating that the application is executing at the UE in a foreground state or to the at least one secondary cell based on the classification indicating that the application is executing at the UE in a background state.
