Abstract:
A prism sheet includes: a first portion including a prism elongated in a first direction; and a second portion including a prism elongated in a second direction different from the first direction. The second direction is vertical to a light incident surface of a light guide plate of a backlight unit, a light source of the backlight unit faces the light indicent surface of the light guide plate, and the prism sheet overlaps a light emitting surface of the light guide plate.
Abstract:
Provided is a back-light unit. The back-light unit includes: a reflective layer; a light transmitting plate including a plurality of light emitting diodes; and an optical member disposed on the light transmitting plate and separated from the light transmitting plate with an air layer therebetween, in which light generated from the light emitting diode is reflected to the reflective layer and then passes through the light transmitting plate to reach the optical member.
Abstract:
A display apparatus includes a display panel, a light source, a light guide plate, and a receiving part. The display panel is configured to receive light to display an image. The light source is configured to emit the light. The light guide plate is configured to receive and guide the light to the display panel. The receiving part is configured to hold the light source and the light guide plate. The light guide plate includes a first light guide part and a second light guide part. The first light guide part includes a first material. The second light guide part includes a second material different from the first material. The second light guide part has a tapered shape and is coupled to the first light guide part.
Abstract:
A display device includes a display panel and a backlight unit. The display panel alternately displays a left-eye image and a right-eye image during successive frame periods in a three-dimensional mode. The backlight unit includes a light source including a plurality of light emitting blocks and a light guide. The light guide includes a plurality of lenticular patterns formed on a first surface thereof and a plurality of light guide patterns formed on a second surface thereof. The lenticular patterns and the light guide patterns are extended in a first direction and arranged in a second direction crossing the first direction.
