    Abstract: A manufacturing method of a coil component including the steps of: assembling and forming a coil assembly body in which a coil is attached to a magnetic-body core; and inputting the coil assembly body and a putty-like admixture including magnetic powders and a thermosetting resin into an inner cylindrical portion of a die, further including the steps of: pressing the admixture which is inputted into the inner cylindrical portion, applying vibration for giving shear force with respect to the admixture which is inputted into the inner cylindrical portion for decreasing the viscosity of the aforesaid admixture, and thermosetting and forming a magnetic cover portion by heating an integrated object comprised of the admixture which was applied with the vibration and the coil assembly body and by thermally-curing the thermosetting resin included in the admixture.

    Abstract: A mold apparatus is provided for manufacturing a coil component. The mold apparatus includes a support plate, a die on the support plate, a lid, and a press member that presses the lid toward the support plate. The die has a peripheral side wall defining an opening opposite the support plate. The coil component is placeable in an inner space of the die interior of the side wall. The lid is insertable via the opening into the inner space with an outer peripheral edge of the lid slidably received by the side wall of the die.

    Abstract: A coil component includes a core body, a coil, and a metal terminal. The core body has a mounting surface, an upper surface having a recess, and a side surface. The coil has an embedded part embedded in the core body, and a protruding part protruding from the core body. The metal terminal is electrically connected to the first protruding part of the coil. The first metal terminal has a first plate arranged along the side surface, a second plate connected to an upper end of the first plate and arranged along the upper surface, and a third plate connected to a lower end of the first plate and arranged along the mounting surface. The second plate in the recess has a first arc-shaped part. The recess has a second arc-shaped part. The second arc-shaped part extends along a contour of the first arc-shaped part.

    Abstract: An inductor includes a magnetic core and a conductor member. The conductor member is configured with: an insertion part that is inserted into the magnetic core; first and second outer surface arrangement parts that are directly or indirectly connected to ends of the insertion part and are arranged along first and second outer surfaces of the magnetic core, respectively; and first and second terminal parts that are connected to the first and second outer surface arrangement parts, respectively. The insertion part includes an insertion first sub part and an insertion second sub part that is stacked on the insertion first sub part. A sum of the thicknesses of the insertion first and second sub parts is larger than a thickness of the first outer surface arrangement part and larger than a thickness of the second outer surface arrangement part.
