Abstract: A drive wheel for a track system having an endless track that has first, second, and third drive wheel engagers is disclosed. The drive wheel has a hub, a body, a rim, a plurality of first, second and third track engagers radially disposed on the rim. Each of the plurality of second track engagers are operationally aligned with one of the plurality of first track engagers. The plurality of third track engagers are on at least one lateral side of the plurality of first track engagers. The plurality of first, second and third track engagers are configured to, respectively, driveably engage with a first, second, and third drive wheel engagers of the endless track. An endless track and a track system are also disclosed.

Abstract: A tensioner for adjusting a tension in an endless track of a track system is disclosed. The tensioner includes a resilient portion and a wheel connecting portion. The resilient portion is connectable to a frame of the track system, the resilient portion being oriented generally vertically. The wheel connecting portion is pivotally connectable to the frame of the track system, is connected to the resilient portion and is configured to connect to an idler wheel assembly. A track system having the tensioner is also disclosed.

Abstract: A track system comprising a dynamic tensioning device located between an idler wheel and the support frame as to apply proper tension in the track. The dynamic tensioning device is adapted to block at its current length upon the occurrence of a determined condition. The dynamic tensioner is adapted to substantially maintain its length when an acceleration and or deceleration of the track system reaches a predetermined value. For instance, such characteristic is relevant in an event of emergency braking. A dynamic tensioner would become contracted and the tension in the endless track would become too low. A low tension could cause the endless track to ratchet.

Abstract: A modular frame for a track system is disclosed. The modular frame includes an upper frame member operatively connectable to an axle of a vehicle and removably connectable to a first lower frame member. The first lower frame member is configured to connect with at least one of a support wheel assembly and an idler wheel assembly, and connection of the upper frame member to the first lower frame member confers a first lower frame member-specific function to the track system. Another modular frame, track systems having the modular frames, tensioners and track systems having the tensioners are also disclosed.

Abstract: A vehicle includes a plurality of track systems, a fluid pump, a plurality of fluid lines fluidly connecting the fluid pump to at least some of the tires of the wheels of each of the track systems, a plurality of pneumatic inflation actuators, a plurality of pneumatic deflation actuators, and a system controller. The system controller is in electronic communication with the fluid pump, the plurality of pneumatic inflation actuators, and the plurality of pneumatic deflation actuators. The system controller is operable to selectively adjust fluid pressure in select ones of the wheels of any one of the track systems of the vehicle by actuating corresponding ones of the plurality of pneumatic inflation actuators and the plurality of pneumatic deflation actuators. A track system has at least one of the leading idler wheels, trailing idler wheels, and mid-roller wheels including a tire containing a fluid.

Abstract: The first suspension member is pivotally connectable to a frame assembly of the track system and defines a receptacle. The second suspension member is pivotally connectable to the frame assembly, extends at least partially within the receptacle, and is moveable relative to the first suspension member. The resilient member has a first surface that is generally fixedly connected to the second suspension member and a second surface that is generally fixedly connected to the first suspension member. The first and second suspension members have a first position, and in response to the first and second suspension members moving relative to one another, the resilient member biases the first and second member toward the first position. Abstract: A track system for use with a vehicle includes an attachment assembly connectable to the chassis of the vehicle having a multi-pivot assembly having a first pivot extending longitudinally and defining a roll pivot axis, and a second pivot extending laterally and defining a pitch pivot axis. A frame assembly is disposed laterally outwardly from the attachment assembly and connected thereto. The frame assembly includes at least one wheel-bearing frame member. The track system further includes at least one actuator connected between the attachment assembly and the frame assembly for pivoting the frame assembly about the roll pivot axis, a leading idler wheel assembly, a trailing idler wheel assembly, at least one support wheel assembly, and an endless track.

Abstract: A suspended undercarriage assembly connectable to a multi-member frame assembly of a track system includes a beam having a leading portion and a trailing portion, at least one support wheel assembly connectable to the beam, at least one of a leading resilient bushing assembly and a trailing resilient bushing assembly including a bushing having an opening defined therein and being shaped and dimensioned for promoting deformation of the bushing in at least one of a vertical direction and a lateral direction. The bushing is resiliently deformable to permit movement of the beam relative to the multi-member frame assembly in the vertical direction and in the lateral direction, and to resiliently bias the beam towards a rest position with respect to the multi-member frame assembly. A track system having the suspended undercarriage assembly is also provided.

Abstract: Damping system for an endless track system, comprising: Damper operatively connectable between frame members for damping relative movement therebetween, including: cylinder and piston movable therewithin forming variable volume chamber containing liquid. Reservoir containing liquid and gas connected to chamber. Conduits connecting chamber to reservoir for allowing liquid to flow therebetween to move the piston. Gas in reservoir applying hydrostatic pressure to liquid, biasing piston toward an extended position and causing piston to move theretowards when load on endless track system is decreased, and causing piston to move toward a retracted position when load on endless track system is increased. Conduits connected spaced-apart to longitudinal sidewall of cylinder such that when piston moves toward retracted position, piston prevents liquid from flowing within a conduit, and liquid is permitted to flow within a conduit, causing liquid to flow at different rates between chamber and reservoir as piston moves toward retracted position.
