Abstract: A method for handling checksum error in uplink data compression (UDC) in a wireless communication system includes: detecting, by user equipment (UE), a checksum failure; automatically controlling, by the UE, generation of a number of compressed protocol data units (PDUs) available for transmission at a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) based on a package formation rate (PFT); and transmitting, by the UE, a number of compressed PDUs.
