Abstract:
The basic features of the invention include a pipe parting mole, a length of cable that is engagable to the mole, a cable pulling device and a cable pulling device engagement means that provides a mounting structure for the cable pulling device. The cable pulling device engagement means generally includes a reaction plate and a structure for removably engaging the cable pulling device therewithin. A cable pulling frame may be advantageously used to facilitate the removal of the cable from a relatively small hole that is created at the pulling end of the pipe.
Abstract:
Presented is a method for determining the maximum number of key selection vectors (KSVs) supported by an HDCP source. The method includes transmitting a number of KSVs to the HDCP source, determining whether the HDCP source has entered a failure mode in response to the transmitted number of KSVs, increasing or decreasing the number of KSVs in response to the HDCP source not entering or entering the failure mode, transmitting the increased or decreased number of KSVs to the HDCP source, determining whether the HDCP source has entered the failure mode in response to the transmitted increased or decreased number of KSVs, and repeating the increasing, decreasing, and determining steps until the difference between a lowest number of transmitted KSVs resulting in the HDCP source entering the failure mode and a highest number of transmitted KSVs resulting in the HDCP source not entering the failure mode is one.
Abstract:
A carry and drive device and method for a dental implant or a dental implant component with a driving recess. The device includes a drive end with a configuration substantially matching the drive recess and with an interference surface frictionally engageable with a portion of the driving recess.
Abstract:
A combination mechanical and fusion seal for use with a pipe includes a thermoplastic sleeve, wherein the thermoplastic sleeve includes a first portion constructed of a first material and a second portion constructed of a second material, wherein the first material has a lesser density and/or durometer than the density and/or durometer of the second material; an electrical resistive wire embedded within the second material; and at least one exposed lead attached to the resistive wire. A piping system utilizing the combination mechanical and fusion seal is disclosed. The present invention is also drawn to a method of joining the seal of the pipe to another pipe is also described.
Abstract:
The present invention is a wireway for a conveyor system which is integrally molded into the sideguard of the conveyor system. The sidewall, or sideguard, has both an inner wall and an outer wall, and there is an intermediate wall connected to both the inner wall and outer wall. The inner wall, outer wall, and intermediate wall form an upper passage and a lower passage which function as a wireway in which wires are fed through and connect to various components of the conveyor system.

Abstract:
The present locomotive brake control system includes a vacuum relay valve responsive to air brake apply and release signals on the air brake pipe to provide vacuum brake apply and release signals on a vacuum brake pipe. A locomotive brake controller is responsive to the brake apply and release signals on the air brake pipe to control the brake cylinder to apply and release the locomotive brakes in an air mode, and is responsive to the brake apply and release signals on the vacuum brake pipe sensed by a transducer to control the brake cylinder to apply and release the locomotive brakes in a vacuum mode.

A stem-cell-seeded porous scaffold implant and electromagnetic growth stimulation for treating or augmenting a breast tissue defect in a patient.
Abstract:
A luminous gas discharge display including two opposing hermetically sealed plates and a pair of low profile electrode assemblies. At least one of the plates is formed of a transparent material and at least one of the plates includes at least one channel terminating in at least one opening through the plate containing an ionizable gas to define a gas discharge path. The electrode assemblies are positioned externally of the glass plates and in communication with channel. Each electrode assembly includes an outer substrate, an intermediate conductive layer deposited on the outer substrate and an inner emissive layer deposited on the intermediate conductive layer opposite the opening. The intermediate conductive layer provides electrical contact between a voltage source and the inner emissive layer to ionize the ionizable gas and produce a gas discharge display.
Abstract:
A process for the production of a uranium oxide in which UF.sub.6 is converted by reaction with steam into UO.sub.2 F.sub.2 in a first step and by further reaction of UO.sub.2 F.sub.2 with steam and/or hydrogen in a second step to produce an oxide of uranium, the process being carried out in an apparatus comprising a single kiln vessel having a first region, having UF.sub.6 and steam inlets, wherein the fast step may be carried out, and a second region wherein the said second step may be carried out, which process includes the further steps of analysing the oxide of uranium produced to determine the mount of fluoride present and the oxygen to uranium (O/U) ratio therein, and, where the level of fluoride present is unacceptably high, recycling the oxide of uranium to the said second region to produce an oxide of uranium having a lower fluoride content and oxygen to uranium ratio and wherein the said oxide of uranium having the unacceptably high fluoride content is fed into the first region of the vessel, in the absence of any feeding of UF.sub.6 or steam thereto, and conveyed by conveying means directly into the second region of the vessel.
