    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for sidelink repeating operations, such as by using an assisting node (e.g., a smart repeater, relay, or reflector) to enhance sidelink communication reliability. For example, one or more assisting nodes may be configured by a network entity and repeat sidelink communications for two or more user equipments (UEs). In aspects, an assisting node may receive, from the network entity, an indication of resources available for sidelink communications between a first UE and a second UE. The assisting node may also receive signaling that configures the assisting node to repeat sidelink communications between the first and the second UEs over the indicated resources. The assisting node then repeats sidelink communications between the first and the second UEs according to the received signaling.

    Abstract: Aspects relate to techniques for enhancing sidelink scheduling information to include a priority assigned to a sidelink transmission. For example, a transmitting wireless communication device may receive sidelink scheduling information scheduling a sidelink transmission from a transmitting wireless communication device to a receiving wireless communication device. The sidelink scheduling information may further include a priority indicator associated with the sidelink transmission. The transmitting wireless communication device may then transmit the sidelink transmission to the receiving wireless communication device based on the scheduling information. The priority indicator may further facilitate hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) codebook construction on the sidelink and uplink for the transmission of acknowledgement information of the sidelink transmission.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may be configured to transmit a first sidelink control information (SCI) message associated with a first sidelink transmission from the first UE, the first SCI including a first indication of a first set of resources reserved for retransmissions of the first sidelink transmission at one or more retransmission occasions. The UE may identify a second SCI message associated with the first SCI message, where the second SCI provides a release of at least a first subset of the first set of resources reserved for the retransmissions of the first sidelink transmission. The UE may then perform retransmissions of the first sidelink transmission in accordance with the release.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some examples, an energy transfer device may indicate timing information for backscattering a signal. The energy transfer device may transmit, to an energy harvesting device, a message including timing information that indicates when the energy harvesting device is to begin backscattering of a wireless signal. The energy transfer device may transmit the wireless signal. The energy harvesting device may monitor for and receive the wireless signal based on the message. The energy harvesting device may transmit a backscattered signal based on application of a backscattering function to the wireless signal in accordance with the timing information.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) are described. A UE may receive control signaling including an indication of time and frequency resources that are configured for semiautonomous uplink scheduling from the UE. The UE may then transmit a semiautonomous uplink scheduling message including a request for a set of uplink transmission resources or parameters for an upcoming uplink transmission. The UE may determine the set of uplink transmission resources or parameters based on one or more interference measurements performed on the time and frequency resources that are configured for semiautonomous uplink scheduling from the UE. The UE may then receive, in response to transmitting the semiautonomous uplink scheduling message, a message approving or declining the request for the set of uplink transmission resources or parameters.
