Abstract: By receiving a leading wave in a state where a wave receiving box is sunk on the coast, a pressure return pipe and a pressure return on-off valve are controlled, and a water surface in an air compression pipe is set to a reference water surface lower than an air throttle, even when there are tide level fluctuations and wave size variations in one wave receiving box, energy of the wave is converted into compressed air without loss, is stored in a compressed air storage tank, and can be used for power generation or the like.

Abstract: To provide a solvent separator for purifying an exhaust atmosphere efficiently in solvent removal from the exhaust atmosphere containing a vaporized solvent by the heating exhausted from an exhaust generator, so that the vaporized solvent does not slip through an electrode for collecting the solvent and is positively led to the electrode. An electrode is arranged in a first wall surface of a casing of a solvent separation unit having a circular cylindrical shape, thereby inducing a vaporized solvent in an exhaust atmosphere to the electrode by a fan and discharging the solvent to the outside of the separator with part of the peripheral exhaust atmosphere while attracting the solvent to the electrode by an electric field of the electrode.

Abstract: A compression pipe is configured with a wave drawing section and an air compressing section, a gas-liquid introduction on-off valve is disposed in wave drawing section, a gas-liquid introduction on-off valve is opened at an initial stage of a pushing wave, the gas-liquid introduction on-off valve is closed at the same time when a wave that maintains a speed flows into a wave receiving box. Accordingly, the wave is drawn into the air compressing section, is stored in a compressed air storage tank by converting kinetic energy of the wave into compressed air, and can be utilized for power generation and the like.

Abstract: An offset fin for use in a heat exchanger includes a first corrugation structure and a second corrugation structure. The first corrugation structure includes a plurality of first fins aligned in a first direction. The second corrugation structure includes a plurality of second fins aligned in the first direction. The second corrugation structure is disposed in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, with respect to the first corrugation structure. The first fins and the second fins protrude alternately in a third direction orthogonal to both the first direction and the second direction, and each have a protruding shape cross-section. In the first direction, the second fins are disposed offset from the first fins. Each of the first fins includes a first side wall inclined with respect to the second direction, and each of the second fins includes a second side wall inclined with respect to the second direction, at a side opposite to a side at which the first side wall is inclined.

Abstract: A method for defrosting an evaporator, includes: (i) closing an outlet part that serves as a refrigerant outlet of the evaporator; (ii) closing an inlet part that serves as a refrigerant inlet of the evaporator; (iii) connecting the outlet part and the inlet part to one another; (iv) heating the evaporator. An evaporator, includes: an inlet part that serves as a refrigerant inlet; a first switching valve that is placed in the inlet part; an outlet part that serves as a refrigerant outlet; a second switching valve that is placed in the outlet part; a bypass pathway that connected the inlet part and the outlet part to one another; a horizontal pipe that is communicated with the inlet part; and a vertical pipe that connects the horizontal pipe and the outlet part to one another. A cooling apparatus can include the evaporator.
