Abstract: A military vehicle includes a passenger capsule having a front end and a rear end, a front module coupled to the front end of the passenger capsule, a rear module coupled to the rear end of the passenger capsule, a generator, and an export power kit. The front module includes a front subframe, a prime mover, a front axle assembly, and a front differential coupled to the front axle assembly. The rear module includes a rear subframe, a rear axle assembly, and a transaxle coupled to the rear axle assembly, the prime mover, and the front differential. The generator is configured to be driven by the prime mover to generate electricity. The export power kit is coupled to the generator and configured to facilitate exporting power off of the military vehicle.

Abstract: A military vehicle includes a chassis, a front axle coupled to the chassis, a rear axle coupled to the chassis, and a suspension system. The suspension system include a front suspension assembly and a rear suspension assembly. The front suspension assembly is positioned between the chassis and the front axle. The rear suspension assembly is positioned between the chassis and the rear axle. Each of the front suspension assembly and the rear suspension assembly includes a first spring, a second spring, a first hydraulic damper, and a second hydraulic damper. The first hydraulic damper and the second hydraulic damper of at least one of the front suspension assembly or the rear suspension assembly are cross-plumbed to provide a hydraulic body roll control function and eliminate the need for an anti-roll bar.

The front module includes a front axle, a front differential, an engine, and a transmission. The front differential is coupled to the front axle. The front differential functions as a structural component of the front module. The front differential defines an engine mount. The engine is at least partially supported by the engine mount of the front differential. The transmission is coupled to the engine. The rear module includes a rear axle and a transaxle. The transaxle includes a housing, a transfercase disposed within the housing, and a rear differential disposed within the housing. The transfercase is coupled to the transmission, the front differential, and the rear differential. The rear differential is coupled to the rear axle.

Abstract: A military vehicle includes a passenger capsule including a roof, a floor, and sidewalls that define an interior, a driver seat and a passenger seat disposed within the interior of the passenger capsule, and a belly deflector coupled to an exterior of the passenger capsule and positioned beneath the floor. The belly deflector is spaced from the floor such that the floor is configured as a floating floor. The floor and the belly deflector provide two levels of underbody protection.

The axle is supported by the rear module. The suspension system is positioned between the rear module and the axle. The suspension system includes a first gas spring, a second gas spring, a first damper, and a second damper. The first damper and the second damper are cross-plumbed to provide a fluid body roll control function. The driveline is configured to drive the axle. The driveline includes a component having a housing that functions as a structural component of the rear module. The first gas spring, the second gas spring, the first damper, and the second damper are directly coupled to the housing.
