Abstract: A treatment instrument includes a tube with a conduit; a wire located in the tube so as to advance and retract in the tube, and through which a high frequency current is allowed to flow. The treatment instrument may also include an electrode connected to a distal end of the wire; and a distal end tip located at a distal end portion of the tube, the distal end tip configured to accommodate at least a part of the electrode. The distal end tip includes a passage that connects with an outer peripheral surface and an inner peripheral surface of the distal end tip. The passage connects with the conduit.
