    Abstract: A turbo compressor and a refrigeration cycle device having a turbo compressor are provided. The turbo compressor includes a housing having a motor chamber; a drive motor having a stator and a rotor in the motor chamber of the housing; a first compression portion and a second compression portion, respectively, provided on opposite ends of a rotary shaft; a connecting passage that connects an exit of the first compression portion and an entrance of the second compression portion; an inlet passage that penetrates a first side of the housing to communicate with an inside of the motor chamber and guide a refrigeration fluid to the motor chamber; and an outlet passage that penetrates a second side of the housing to communicate with the inside of the motor chamber and guide the refrigeration fluid in the motor chamber out of the housing. Thus, a gas foil bearing provided in the motor chamber may be quickly actuated by supplying the refrigeration fluid to the motor chamber, and at a same time, heat generated from the motor chamber may be quickly dissipated even in a highspeed operation, thereby improving efficiency of the turbo compressor and a refrigeration cycle device having a turbo compressor.

    Abstract: A motor-operated compressor includes a compression part including a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll that form a compression chamber configured to compress fluid by an orbiting motion of the orbiting scroll relative to the fixed scroll. A motor part is disposed at one side of the compression part, and configured to generate a drive force to cause the orbiting scroll to make the orbiting motion. A rotary shaft is connected to the motor part and the orbiting scroll to transmit the drive force generated by the motor part to the orbiting scroll. A main frame is disposed between the compression part and the motor part in an axial direction of the rotary shaft, and configured to support the fixed scroll in the axial direction of the rotary shaft. A discharge chamber is formed between the fixed scroll and the main frame, and fluid discharged from the compression part passes through the discharge chamber to outside of the motor-operated compressor.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided capable of supplying oil stored in an oil storage chamber upward through a rotary shaft to supply the oil to a compression device and to lubricate a bearing portion. The scroll compressor may include a casing, a drive motor, a rotary shaft, a main frame, a fixed scroll, and an orbiting scroll. A medium pressure chamber may be formed in or at a middle of the main frame, the fixed scroll, and the orbiting scroll. A pocket groove configured to guide oil discharged through the oil hole to the medium pressure chamber may be formed in an upper surface of the orbiting scroll, and a differential pressure path configured to guide the oil guided to the medium pressure chamber to the compression chamber may be provided in the fixed scroll.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided that may include an orbiting scroll having an orbiting wrap, and which performs an orbiting motion; and a fixed scroll having a fixed wrap to form a compression chamber including a suction chamber, an intermediate pressure chamber, and a discharge chamber, by being engaged with the orbiting wrap. In a state in which the orbiting scroll and the fixed scroll are concentric with each other, when a distance between the orbiting wrap and the fixed wrap is defined as an orbiting radius, there exists an offset section having an interval larger than the orbiting radius, between a side surface of the orbiting wrap and a side surface of the fixed wrap which faces the orbiting wrap. With such a configuration, even if the fixed scroll or the orbiting scroll is transformed due to thermal expansion, interference between the fixed wrap and the orbiting wrap at a portion having a large transformation amount may be prevented. This may prevent a frictional loss or abrasion between the fixed wrap and the orbiting wrap. Further, this may restrict or minimize a gap between the fixed wrap and the orbiting wrap at an opposite side to the suction chamber, resulting in enhanced compression efficiency.

    Abstract: A compressor is provided. The compressor may include a fixed wrap, and an orbiting scroll having an orbiting wrap engaged with the fixed wrap to form compression chambers.     Abstract: A motor-operated compressor is provided and includes an orbiting scroll and a rear housing supporting a rear surface of the orbiting scroll. The rear housing includes a discharge space communicating with a discharge port of the orbiting scroll formed at a central portion of a surface facing the orbiting scroll, an oil separation space formed at one side of the discharge space to communicate with the discharge space, and an oil storage space formed at an edge portion of the surface facing the orbiting scroll. An oil return passage is provided between the oil separation space and the oil storage space, so as to guide oil separated in the oil separation space to the oil storage space. Accordingly, a space for storing oil separated from a discharged refrigerant is sufficiently secured while allowing the rear housing defining the oil storage space to be easily fabricated.
