Abstract:
Apparatus configured for dispensing bedding inside of breeding cages for use in pharmaceutical preclinical research centres, including: a loading hopper located in the upper part of the apparatus, and adapted to contain the bedding to be supplied to the cages; at least one supporting plane adapted to support one or more cages, and positioned under the hopper; an actuator under the hopper, adapted to raise or lower the hopper and the at least one supporting plane; one or more dosing mouths located in the lower part of the loading hopper, and adapted to feed into the cages given quantities of bedding from the hopper; a dispensation system adapted to dispense bedding into the cages through the one or more dosing mouths; a control system adapted to determine the quantity of bedding and to control the actuator; and a base for supporting the apparatus.
Abstract:
A method for washing one or more tanks for containing aquatic animals includes inserting one or more tanks for aquatic animals to be washed into a washing chamber of a washing apparatus. A washing solution is supplied to the washing chamber and comprises an alkaline detergent in combination with hydrogen peroxide. The alkaline detergent is free from surfactants, phosphates and chlorine. A neutralizing agent is supplied to the washing chamber and also is free from surfactants, phosphates and chlorine, to re-establish a desired pH of the residual washing solution in the washing chamber. Rinsing water is supplied to the washing chamber to rinse the tanks
Abstract:
Automated system for handling, in particular for overturning, containers such as cage trays for housing laboratory animals. The automated system being suitable to be positioned at the outlet module of a station for treating or washing, the containers and possibly other component parts of the cages such as the lid, the trough and similar component parts. The system then receives the containers and/or other component parts at the outlet from the treatment station, in particular washing station. The system can comprise a first conveyor belt capable of interfacing the outlet module so as to receive the containers and/or the component parts at the outlet of the treatment station. A second conveyor belt can be arranged in succession so as to define a transport direction of the containers and/or component parts substantially parallel to the feed direction of the containers and/or component parts at the exit from the treatment station.

Abstract:
A system for treating wash waste liquid is described, configured for coupling to a wash module of a continuous Tunnel washing machine for the field of Preclinical Pharmaceutical Research, said wash module (12) comprising a wash chamber (25), characterized in that it comprises:
a wash tub (22) with a side wall (31) substantially cylindrical in shape, with a tangential liquid suction outlet (33) and a substantially conical bottom, with a wash waste drain point (35) at the vertex of the cone, said tangential suction being adapted to generate a rotational motion of the liquid in said tub, said tub being positioned under said wash chamber (25), so as to receive said wash liquid by gravity; a centrifugal wash pump (21) with an open impeller, adapted to take in liquid from said tangential liquid suction outlet (33); an in-line filter (26) with an internal filter cartridge of the “wedge-wire” type, adapted to filter the liquid coming from said centrifugal pump (21) and deliver it back, filtered, into said wash chamber (25), and comprising a flush valve (27) for discharging the filtering waste.
Abstract:
A containment basket adapted for bottles or similar containers includes: sidewalls, a base including grids or slots, an open side opposite to the base, and a fastening system on opposite first sidewalls of the basket; for securing fixed grids parallel to the base of the basket. The fixed grids include apertures for housing the bottles. Lateral guides on opposite second sidewalls of the basket are adapted for housing a lever system for positioning a sliding grid parallel to the fixed grids in a height-adjustable position. The sliding grid includes apertures suitable for housing the bottles. First windows on the second sidewalls are adapted to cooperate with the lever system to allow the height-adjustable positioning of the sliding grid and to allow the sliding grid to slide between a first bottle retaining position and a second bottle releasing position.
Abstract:
A containment basket made of plastic material adapted for bottles or similar containers for liquids is described, having a substantially parallelepiped structure with sidewalls and a base including grids or slots and with an open side opposite to the base, and comprises a first fastening system on opposite first sidewalls of the basket, for securing one or more fixed grids made of plastic material parallel to the base of the basket, the fixed grids comprising apertures of a size suitable for housing the bottles; lateral guides on opposite second sidewalls of the basket, adapted for housing a lever system for positioning a sliding grid made of plastic material parallel to the one or more fixed grids and in an height-adjustable position along the second sidewalls, the sliding grid comprising apertures suitable for housing the bottles; first windows on the second sidewalls, adapted to cooperate with the lever system in order to allow the height-adjustable positioning of the sliding grid, and also to allow the sliding grid to slide between a first bottle retaining position and a second bottle releasing position.
