Abstract: A method for application migrating from a first cluster to a second cluster. The method may include detecting application migration request from the first cluster to the second cluster for performing application migration; identifying first volumes associated with the first cluster that are used by the application; establishing data copying from the first volumes of a first storage device associated with the first cluster to second volumes of a second storage device associated with the second cluster; determining if a copy condition is met based on the data copying; for meeting the copy condition, stopping the application on the first cluster; flushing uncopied data from the first volumes to the second volumes; determining whether the flushing of the uncopied data is completed; and for the flushing of the uncopied data being completed, deploying the application on the second cluster.

Abstract: To detect an abnormality of logical and physical addresses, a storage device includes: plural drives each having a storage medium configuring a logical volume provided to a host device; a front end I/F that receives an I/O request including a logical address for identifying a logical storage area of the logical volume, and user data from the host computer; a processor that controls conversion from the logical address into the physical address for identifying a physical storage area of the storage medium; and a back end I/F that controls write/read of user data with respect to the drives based on the physical address. In the drives, data where a first guarantee code obtained based on the physical address and the logical address corresponding to the physical address is added to the user data is stored in the physical storage area designated by the physical address of the storage medium.

Abstract: An object of the invention is to quickly and appropriately adjust performance of a storage system. Provided is a storage management system including: a storage system including a plurality of storage nodes; and a management device. The storage node includes a storage device and an instance to which a resource is virtually allocated and that controls access to the storage device. The storage management system further includes an instance management node configured to manage the instance of the storage node. The management device is configured to determine whether a configuration of the resource allocated to the instance of the storage node needs to be changed, and cause the instance management node to change the configuration of the resource allocated to the instance when the configuration of the resource needs to be changed.

Abstract: A processor of each node of a storage system executes rebalancing to transfer a volume between pool volumes for the node in such a way as to equalize throughput of a data input/output process and/or data capacities between the pool volumes making up the pool. Abstract: The computer system executes environment classification of classifying a plurality of subsystems, each being a physical or virtual computer system, into one or more environment groups being one or more groups. The computer system stores classification result data which is data representing a relationship between the environment group and the subsystems belonging to the environment group. The computer system selects, from the classification result data, the environment group to which the subsystem having undergone a problem belongs. The computer system generates a reproduction subsystem which is a virtual subsystem virtually reproducing the subsystem for each of the subsystems belonging to the selected classification result group. The computer system applies the countermeasure to at least one reproduction subsystem for the purpose of verifying the countermeasure for the problem.
