Abstract:
An article of footwear includes an upper having a first ground facing surface. A primary sole part has a first foot facing surface and a second ground facing surface. The first foot facing surface includes a plurality of openings, each opening defining a volume extending in a vertical direction from the first foot facing surface towards the second ground facing surface having a closed end. A secondary sole part has a second foot facing surface and a third ground facing surface. The secondary sole part is arranged between the upper and the primary sole part and extends into the plurality of volumes and/or openings in the first foot facing surface of the primary sole part.
Abstract:
An article of footwear, comprising: an upper having an outer surface, a foot insertion volume and a sole facing surface, a sole assembly comprising: a midsole having a foot facing surface, a ground facing surface, a heel region, forefoot region and an arch region between the heel region and the forefoot region in a longitudinal direction, where the midsole in the arch region comprises a medial support element covering at least a part of the cuboid bone of the foot and/or a lateral support element covering at least a part of the navicular bone, a medial reinforcement member positioned medial to the medial support element and/or a lateral reinforcement member positioned lateral to the lateral support element, where the medial and/or the lateral reinforcement member is configured to increase the rigidity of the medial support element and/or the lateral support element.
Abstract:
A method of attaching at least two pieces of fabric in a waterproof fabric product. The at least two pieces of fabric are attached at a seam. The seam subsequently is sealed by application of a sealing tape. The method includes attaching the at least two pieces of fabric to each other by a welding process to form a welded seam, and performing the sealing by applying the sealing tape to cover the welded seam at one side of the fabric. A waterproof fabric product that has been produced using the method of attaching at least two pieces of fabric. A footwear includes a membrane including at least two pieces of fabric that are attached at a seam.
Abstract:
A shoe according to the invention comprises an upper assembly comprising an upper portion (10) having an outer material (11) for surrounding a foot and a lower portion (20) having at least a breathable layer (21). The shoe also comprises a sole comprising a ventilating container element (113) having a bottom part (103) and a side wall (102) surrounding said bottom part (103) so as to form an inner space of the ventilating container element (113), the ventilating container element being arranged below and attached to the upper assembly, and a filler structure or material (61; 62; 63; 64; 65; 112) allowing for air flow through it placed in the inner space of the ventilating container element (113).

Abstract:
An article of footwear includes an upper assembly having a foot insertion volume. The foot insertion volume includes a proximal part and a lateral part. A first layer and a second layer each have a lateral surface and a medial surface, respectively. The second layer is positioned between the foot insertion volume and the medial surface of the first layer. A sole assembly includes an upper facing surface and a ground contacting surface. The upper facing surface is connected to the proximal part of the upper assembly. A peripheral part of the sole assembly overlaps a proximal part of the first outer layer and/or the second layer. The first outer layer includes a through-going opening extending from the lateral surface and towards the medial surface. A part of the overlapping material of the sole penetrates the opening to bond to the second layer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a shank adapted for being integrated into a shoe sole and for mounting a heel element, wherein said shank at its heel portion is adapted to be connected to the heel element and wherein said shank comprises an upper surface pointing towards the inner shoe. At least a part of the upper surface at the heel portion is cup-shaped and adapted for receiving sole material inside the cup when integrating said shank in said sole during molding of said shoe sole. Thereby, due to the amount of sole material present in the heel portion, the sole material covers the means used for connecting the shank to the heel element. Thereby, based on the properties of the sole material, the heeled shoe becomes comfortable and flexible at the heel portion. The invention further relates to a sole for a shoe with a cup-shaped shank and more specifically to a shoe with a cup-shaped shank.
