Abstract: Various embodiments include a welded bracket structure for camera modules and techniques for forming such a welded bracket structure. In some embodiments, the welded bracket structure may include a first bracket and a second bracket that are welded to each other. Some embodiments include a weld joint arrangement comprising one or more weld joints for attaching the first bracket to the second bracket. Furthermore, some embodiments include an epoxy arrangement for a multi-camera system that includes the welded bracket structure and multiple camera modules.

Abstract: A mobile communication device having an acoustic divider for minimizing acoustic coupling is disclosed. The mobile communication device includes a housing having an outer surface and internal sidewalls. The outer surface and internal sidewalls define a void disposed at and below the outer surface of the housing. The mobile communication device includes a receiver disposed within the housing and below a first portion of the void, and a microphone disposed within the housing and below a second portion of the void. An acoustic divider is disposed within the void and laterally disposed between the receiver and the microphone. The acoustic divider acoustically isolates the first and second portions of the void, thereby minimizing acoustic coupling between the receiver and the microphone.

Abstract: A portable electronic device may include a housing having a wall defining an opening in the housing and at least a portion of four side surfaces of the portable electronic device. The portable electronic device may further include a display at least partially within the housing, a front cover positioned in the opening in the housing and over the display, the front cover defining a front surface, a peripheral side surface extending from the front surface and at least partially surrounded by the wall of the housing, and a notch that, together with a portion of the wall of the housing, defines an acoustic port of the portable electronic device. The electronic device may further include an acoustic port cover positioned at least partially in the acoustic port and a speaker at least partially within the housing and configured to direct sound through the acoustic port cover.

Abstract: An electronic device may be provided with a housing in which electrical components are mounted. The housing may include a metal portion that serves as ground. An antenna for the electronic device may be formed from metal traces on an antenna support such as a flexible printed circuit. The flexible printed circuit may be mounted to a speaker box. The speaker box may have one or more walls formed from metal plates. A metal plate in a speaker box may be coupled to a metal clip. The metal clip may be shorted to a metal stiffener that overlaps a tail portion of the flexible printed circuit. The metal stiffener may have an opening that is aligned with an opening in the metal clip. A metal fastener such as a screw may pass through the openings to short the metal clip, stiffener, and metal plate to ground.
