Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a micro-needle device (100, 200, 300, 400) that includes a micro-needle array (102, 202, 302, 402) and a liquid connection port (104, 204, 304, 404). The micro-needle array includes a base (106, 206, 306, 406), a sidewall (108, 208, 308, 408) and a top (110, 210, 310, 410), where the base includes two or more of an elongate micro-needle (112, 212, 312, 412) having an interior surface (114, 214, 314, 414) defining an opening 8116, 216, 316, 416) through the elongate micro-needle. The base has a first major surface (118, 218, 318, 418) and a second major surface (120, 220, 320, 420) through which the opening of the elongate micro-needle passes to provide a passage across the base. The top has an interior surface (122, 222, 322, 422) and the sidewall has an interior surface (126, 226, 326, 426), where the interior surface of the side wall, the interior surface of the top and the first major surface of the base define a volume (130, 230, 330, 430). The liquid connection port has a fluid connection with the volume of the micro-needle array such that dental local anesthetic fed through the connection port can exit through the opening of the elongate micro-needle.

Abstract: A pen-like dispenser for dispensing a dental material has a handle and a cover which are attached for rotation relative to each other about a longitudinal axis of the dispenser, and a cartridge for holding the dental material and a screw plunger for extruding the dental material from the cartridge by screwing action. The cartridge and the cover in combination form a rotary slide valve which is operable by rotation about the longitudinal axis between a storage position, in which the cover closes a dispensing outlet of the cartridge, and a dispensing position, in which an opening in the cover opens the dispensing outlet of the cartridge. A relative rotation between the screw plunger and the handle about the longitudinal axis is restricted, and a relative rotation between the cartridge and the cover about the longitudinal axis is enabled within a predetermined rotation angle and restricted otherwise.

Abstract: A capsule for mixing and dispensing a dental material which has a body forming a cavity. The cavity is closed by a liquid container. The body and the liquid container in combination form a mixing chamber containing a first component of the dental material. The liquid container has a cup-shaped cartridge formed by a cartridge front wall and a cartridge side wall and having a rear opening. A plug is movably joined within the cartridge through the rear opening for extruding a liquid second component of the dental material. The cartridge further has a channel extending through the cartridge side wall for releasing the second component into the mixing chamber. The body side wall inwardly has a recess being dimensioned for establishing a fluid communication between the channel and the cavity in an activated position, where the activated position corresponds to a second axial position of a two different axial positions of the of the cartridge and the body relative to each other. Further the first axial position corresponds to an inactivated position in which the channel is offset from the recess. A first cover film seals the joint between the cartridge and the plug, and the channel is openably sealed by a second cover film at least in the inactivated position. The capsule helps facilitating the preparation of a dental material.

Abstract: A micro-needle device (100, 200, 300) for delivering a dental local anesthetic that includes a micro-needle array (102, 202, 302) and a hollow spheroid shaped container (108, 208, 308). The micro-needle array has a base (104, 204, 304)and two or more of an elongate micro-needle (106, 206, 306). This allows the dental local anesthetic to flow from the volume of the micro-needle device through the opening of the two or more of the elongate micro-needle.
