    摘要: Methods and systems are provided for an electromagnetic pulse disconnect assembly. In one example, an electromagnetic disconnect assembly includes an electromagnetic coil assembly including an electromagnetic coil, an armature cam including an annular ring and a plurality of bidirectional cam ramps extending in an axial direction from the annular ring, where the annular ring is adapted to have face-sharing contact with the electromagnetic coil assembly when the electromagnetic coil is energized and be spaced apart from the electromagnetic coil assembly when the electromagnetic coil is de-energized, and a cam follower a plurality of radially extending guides arranged around a circumference of the cam follower and spaced apart from one another via a plurality of elongate apertures, each of the plurality of elongate apertures adapted to receive one of the plurality of bidirectional ramps of the armature cam. The assembly may further include a latching system.

    摘要: Systems and processes described herein can use drive line actuators (DLAs) which can be implemented for one or more individual wheels of an electric vehicle (EV) permitting connection and disconnection of at least a portion of the axle and wheel from the electric motor suppling torque. A disconnected wheel and axle can experience less friction, and have less rotational mass then a wheel and axle that is connected to an electric motor, therefore the disconnecting wheels in which torque is not desired can result in increased efficiency and range in an EV.

    摘要: In general, this disclosure relates to a system and method of control for driveline actuators (DLAs) in the powertrain of an electric vehicle to perform shifting between two-wheel drive (2WD) and four-wheel drive (4WD) configurations. Sequential and overlapping shift process is used. The first disconnect is instructed by a vehicle control system to begin its shift, which takes approximately 100 milliseconds to complete. A short period of time after the first disconnect is instructed to begin its shift, but before it has completed the shift, the second disconnect is instructed to begin.
