Abstract:
A method and apparatus for generating context sensitive mobile device utilization data. The method comprises retrieving mobile device utilization data from a mobile device utilization and tracking device, retrieving location data from the tracking device, retrieving context sensitive data relevant to the device, and analyzing the retrieved data to determine context sensitive mobile device utilization.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing a context sensitive speed tracking by generating a location of the mobile tracking device; determining context information related to the location; and analyzing the location and context information to determine an appropriate speed of the mobile tracking device in view of the context information.

Abstract:
Method and apparatus that facilitates customer retention, churn reduction, and customer satisfaction by predicting customer churn and taking an appropriate action to retain a customer is described. In an example, a customer retention method acquires information indicative of customer service usage by customers. The customer retention method then provides an analysis of the acquired information. The analysis predicts the likelihood of churn for each customer. The customer retention method then identifies affected customers based on the analysis. The customer retention method then automatically selects customer support executives to initiate an action for each of the affected customers. The customer retention method selects the customer support executives based on skill in handling the affected customers, among other factors.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for tracking delivery of items by receiving an image of a barcode, where the barcode relates to the item delivery; processing the received image of the barcode; processing location information comprising information about the time and location of the item delivery; and analyzing the retrieved image of the barcode and the image of the barcode to determine the delivery status of the item.
Abstract:
Method and apparatus for vehicle performance tracking is described. In one example, a wireless interface is configured to receive operation data generated by a plurality of sensors in a vehicle. A time stamping module is configured to track time-of-day. A location module is configured to locate the vehicle. An engine tracking client is configured to produce instance performance data that relates the operation data, time-of-day information from the time stamping module, and location information from the location module. A cellular transceiver is configured to transmit the instance performance data to a server via a wireless mobile network.
Abstract:
Method and apparatus for job tracking is described. One aspect of the invention relates to tracking performance of a job. An interface is configured to capture multimedia data related to the job. A time capturing module is configured to track time-of-day. A location module is configured to determine location. A multimedia client is configured to produce a job table for the job that includes the multimedia data, time-of-day information from the time capturing module, and location information from the location module. A cellular transceiver is configured to transmit the job table to a server via a wireless mobile network. In this manner, an employer may obtain information with respect to performance of a job in real-time and automatically from the employee.

Abstract:
A system and method for determining an optimal set of routes from an origin to one or more destinations. The system comprises a reverse geo-code database of closest intersections for one or more locations of a particular geographical region, a matrix generator, and a vehicle routing problem solver. The matrix generator creates a set of shortest routes among the possible routes between the origin location and the one or more destination locations. The shortest routes are determined by calculating a distance from a first location to a first nearest artery, a distance from a second location to a second nearest artery, and from the first nearest artery to the second nearest artery. The vehicle routing problem solver generates an optimal set of routes connecting the one or more locations by combining the one or more shortest routes.
Abstract:
A method and system for remote tracking of assets. According to one embodiment of the invention, the method for remote tracking comprises receiving location information, receiving a status of a remote asset, creating a task based on the status of the remote asset, determining a receiver to perform the task, and informing the determined receiver of the task. In one embodiment, the system for remote tracking of assets comprises a receiver, an asset, and a controller. The receiver receives location information and transmits the location information to the controller. The asset transmits status data to the controller. The controller receives the location information and status information and transmits task information to the receiver.
