The cosmetic applicator includes an applicator head having an applying member and a shank portion. The applying member includes a stiffness modifying portion to modify the resistance of the applying member to deflection in a transverse direction. In one embodiment the applying member comprises a first application face and a second application face. The stiffness modifying portion comprises a hinge formed between the shank portion and the applying member. The hinge is limited to a single zone in a circumference of the applicator head to provide flexibility to the applying member giving user the feeling that the applying member is very soft and resilient. According to another embodiment the applying member comprises a planar spatula member with a first face and an opposite second face. The applying member further includes two convex bulges, namely a first convex bulge and a second convex bulge extending in opposite directions from respective of the first face and the second face of the spatula member. The bulges increase the stiffness of a portion of the applying member.

摘要： A rotary airless compact including facing concentric arcuate inner and annular outer walls which are manually rotatable relative to each other, and a flexible tube extending between the walls and secured to the inner wall. The outer wall has radial ribs projecting inwardly to crimp the tube at spaced locations against the inner wall, providing successive seals between which the tube has internally open regions for holding fluid product. As the outer wall rotates relative to the inner wall in a direction from a first to a second end of the tube, product is drawn from a supply pouch at the first end into successive open regions of the tube in discrete quantities separated by the seals, and the ribs advance the seals and open regions to the second end, where a nozzle or other dispensing element discharges the quantities of product into a pan area of the compact.

摘要： A single-bead dispenser including a container for holding plural beads in a spherical chamber, a wiper disposed within and rotatable about a horizontal axis of the chamber to sweep the inner wall of the chamber and transport a single contained bead upwardly from the chamber to an opening for discharge to a manually accessible platform on the container while leaving all the other contained beads in the chamber, a geared ring mounted externally of the container and manually rotatable about a vertical axis of the chamber, and a gear secured to the wiper and engaged and driven by the geared ring for effecting sweeping rotation of the wiper when the ring is turned. The wiper may be a lune of a hollow sphere close to and concentric with the chamber inner wall and may bear a dispensing scoop shaped to capture and convey a single bead to the opening.
