    摘要: In a process for producing an aromatic polyester fiber by heat-treating a fiber obtained by melt-spinning an aromatic polyester exhibiting anisotropy in its molten state, an aromatic polyester fiber having high strength and high modulus of elasticity can be produced with suppressed fusion between single filaments during the heat treatment by (a) subjecting the fiber obtained by melt spinning to heat treatment in an organic liquid heating medium or (b) adhering to the fiber obtained by melt spinning at least one member selected from the group consisting of suspensions having a concentration of 0.05 to 20% by weight of organic polymer powders having a melting point or a softening temperature higher than the heat treatment temperature, and suspensions having a concentration of 0.1 to 20% by weight of barium sulfate powder or barium titanate powder, and then subjecting the resulting fiber to heat treatment.

    摘要: Acrylic composite fiber having a three-dimensional spiral crimp is produced by the wet-spinning of acrylonitrile or substantially acrylonitrile polymer, using two polymeric components which exhibit dissimilar degrees of swelling in a gel state, arranged in side-by-side relation through the entire length of the fiber, washing the resulting swollen gel composite fiber with water, drawing the washed fiber, relaxing the swollen fiber -the water content of which relative to the dry weight of the fiber is 40% or higher under no tension in hot water or water vapor at 60* to 130*C, and finally drying the fiber, the three-dimensional spiral crimp being produced by the shrinkage differential due to difference in gel swelling of the two components.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for spinning multi-component fibers from at least two different fiber forming spinning solutions. The solutions are extruded concurrently through a common orifice, being fed thereto through two narrow channels and into a common narrow channel. The thus formed composite stream is flowed through a continuous slit-like narrow channel which is separate from adjacent channels for other composite streams. The channel is sufficiently long so that the stream remains therein for at least 0.1 seconds. Thereafter the composite stream is extruded through a spinnerette to form composite filaments which do not delaminate.
