    摘要: In a method for operating a laser system for bleaching teeth, a water-containing bleaching agent applied onto teeth is heated by a laser beam, wherein the laser beam has a wavelength in a range of 2.6 μm, inclusive, to 3.1 μm, inclusive, or in a range of 9.0 μm, inclusive, to 11.0 μm, inclusive. The laser system is operated in pulse mode with individual pulses of the laser beam, wherein the individual pulses each have a fluence that is below a vaporization threshold fluence of the bleaching agent.

    摘要: The invention relates to laser system with a laser source and an articulated arm. The articulated arm has an optical arrangement for guiding a laser beam from the laser source along an optical path in the articulated arm to a target location. Within the optical path at least one crossing area (focus or focal point) of the laser beam is provided. The optical arrangement has at least one optical cell with an input window and an output window for passing the laser beam therethrough, wherein the crossing area is positioned within the optical cell. The optical cell has a gas fill with an energy threshold for ionization that is increased in comparison to that of ambient air.

    摘要: A laser system for hard body tissue ablation has a pumped laser, wherein the laser system is operated in pulsed operation with several individual pulses of a temporally limited pulse length and wherein the individual pulses follow one another with temporal pulse spacing. The pumped laser has an inversion population remaining time, the inversion population remaining time being the time within which, in the absence of pumping, the remaining inversion population of the laser energy status is reduced by 90%. The pulse spacing is in the range from 50 μs, inclusive, to the inversion population remaining time of ≧50 μs. The pulse length is selected to be in a pulse length range of ≧10 μs to ≦120 μs.

    摘要: An articulated arm for applying a laser beam to a treatment zone has an arm section and a horizontal pivot joint. A spring arrangement acts on the pivot joint and has a cam disk and a pressure member following the cam disk contour as the arm section pivots. The arm section has, relative to a vertical direction, positive and negative pivot angle ranges. In the positive range the spring arrangement relieves the pivot joint from weight forces. When a resting angle in the negative range is reached the articulated arm rests in a support device. A total moment resulting from a weight force moment of the articulated arm and a restoring moment of the spring arrangement acts on the articulated arm about the pivot joint; cam disk contour and spring pretension are matched such that for the resting angle the total moment is oriented toward the support device.
