摘要： The canvas frame is defined by hollow beam members and corner members. Each corner member is coupled to the ends of two adjacent beam members in an adjustable manner to facilitate tensioning of canvas. Canvas is tensioned and extends across but is spaced from a front face of each beam member while contracting a protruding corner on each beam member and extends around to the rear side of said beam members. A flexible strip cooperates with a shallow channel on the rear side of each beam member to secure the canvas thereto.

摘要： A movable or portable space divider includes two or more panels connected at a common center post. A locking hinge arrangement, including a plug received in the top of the post with an annular series of teeth and a hinge received on the panel edge with teeth for mating engagement with the plug defines preselected angular positions of the panels with respect to the post. A cap screw is provided for locking the hinge and cap elements together in selected positions. A trim strip for the panels has inwardlydirected edge flanges which accommodate varying widths of covering materials which may be used on the panels. The panel edge frames are provided with a vertically-spaced series of openings for supporting vertically-adjustable accessories on the panels.

Replaceable one-piece hinges fit into adjoining retainer grooves to interconnect adjacent panels, and replaceable moulding strips fit into the terminal retainer grooves to provide a pleasing appearance at the screen edges. The panels are light in weight, and may be folded flat (with or without the hinges in place) for compact storage and shipment.

摘要： The present draft shield is particularly adapted for mounting on an office chair to protect from drafts the occupant of the chair. The subject draft shield generally includes; a clamp, which is particularly adapted for releasably mounting on an office chair, a frame connected to the clamp, and a curtain supported by the frame. The frame includes a clamp rod secured to the clamp. A lower bracket joint is mounted on each end of the clamp rod. A telescoping post is mounted on each lower bracket joint. The posts are selectively pivoted, either to position each post substantially parallel to the clamp rod to facilitate storage of the draft shield or to position each post substantially perpendicular to the clamp rod. An upper bracket is mounted on the top of each of the posts. An upper bracket rod extends between the upper brackets. A roof rod is secured to each of the upper brackets and extends upward and away from the post. A front rod is connected to the roof rods. The curtain is supported on the upper rod, the roof rod and the front rod. The curtain includes panels hanging downward to provide an enclosure adjacent to an occupant of the office chair. A side rod is pivotedly mounted on each of the lower bracket joints and may be selectively positioned parallel to the respective post or perpendicular to the respective post. A side curtain is removably mounted on each of the side rods.

摘要： A floor area divider for use in planning and dividing the floor area of a room into a number of separate work spaces, each space being organized as to size and shape for the particular use to which the area is to be put. The divider may consist of a single free stand panel or a plurality of panels hingedly connected together to provide an enclosure which defines a particular space in relation to adjoining spaces. Each panel includes a rectilinear metal frame of rigid tubular material generally square in cross section with the frame subdivided into one or more panel sections. Each panel section is enclosed within a panel sleeve made in half-sections so that a pair of mating halves can be mounted on or removed from its respective frame without the use of tools. Hinges allow two or more panels to be joined together and placed at any angle to one another. The panel sleeves are arranged in edge-to-edge relationship to completely conceal the frame. The partition is easily moved from place to place by manpower without the use of any tools. The components can be assembled to form the partition without the use of tools and can, likewise, be dismantled.
