摘要： The invention relates to a press membrane (9) for a filter plate (1′) of a filter press. Said press membrane consists of a rubber-elastic material and is supported by the filter plate (1′) while supporting a parallel filter cloth (14). An intermediate chamber defined between the press membrane (9) and the filter plate (1′) can be impinged upon with a pressure medium. The aim of the invention is to prevent an overload of the membrane material in the area of the supporting cams (6) and damages of the filter cloth (14) in said areas. To this end, the press membrane (9) is provided with transmission disks (12) in the area of the supporting cams (6), said transmission disks (12) consisting of a substantially harder material than the rubber-elastic material of the remaining press membrane (9) and being vulcanized into the rubber-elastic material.

摘要： A filter press for filtering suspensions includes plural parallel filter plates that can be displaced relative to one another. In a filtering position, the filter plates are compressed to a package that forms a filter chamber provided with at least one filter cloth between neighboring filter plates. In a discharge position, neighboring filter plates are moved apart by a discharge distance so that a filter cake adhering to the filter cloth can be discharged. Every filter chamber is provided with at least one filling element for feeding the suspension to the filter chamber. The filling element is disposed on a protruding part that protrudes beyond a plate body face or contour and within a sealing edge on the periphery of the filter plates. In the filtering position, the filling elements are sealingly clamped between neighboring filter plates and form a suspension supply channel that extends through the filter plate package.

摘要： A filter-plate assembly has a support plate having an outwardly directed face and formed with an annular groove opening outward at the face and a chamber plate confronting the face of the support plate, forming therewith an inlet compartment, and formed with an inlet-port cutout opening into the compartment. A flexible filter plate adjacent the support plate has an outer peripheral frame set in the groove and a generally planar central panel within the frame and having a back face turned toward and forming a compartment with the face of the support plate and a front face turned away from the support plate and adapted to be overlain by a filter cloth. A rigid retaining bar overlying the frame extends parallel to it at the cutout. Bolts or the like secure the retaining bar relative to the support plate against the frame to hold the frame tightly in place in the groove of the support plate at the cutout.

摘要： A filter plate having a flow channel area on its main top surface, and liquid distribution and collection basins, each of polygonal shape, on its main bottom surface. Liquid inlet and discharge trough openings extend through the plate adjacent the respective distribution and collection basins, to communicate the basins on the main bottom surface of the plate with the flow channel area on the main top surface thereof. Such plates may be associated in opposedly facing pairs to form enclosed flow channels characterized by fluid flow patterns which are substantially uniform across the full transverse extent of the flow path and which facilitate the utilization of the full areal extent of the filter media employed therewith. Also described is a unitary filter element support which may be usefully employed in the filter. The filter of the invention may be advantageously employed for dewatering of aqueous biomass suspensions, desalting of proteins, removal of secreted metabolites from cellular suspensions, and the like.

摘要： The plate filter press is designed for removing water from product and sewage sludges and includes several filter plates displacably suspended on horizontal carriers. Each of the filter plates includes grooves formed thereon leading to outlet openings located in corners of the plates. The grooves are covered by a filter cloth stiffened by a supporting fabric. Each of the corners further includes a stopper inserted into the outlet opening of the corner with each of stopper provided with a plate-like cover member and a through opening to allow filtrate to pass under the cover member and through the outlet opening. The filter cloth and the supporting fabric are secured in relation to the cover member of the stopper such that, in use, the outlet opening of the plate will remain unclogged.

These improvements include the thickness of the frame adjacent an inner peripheral edge being substantially the same as the height of the spacing ribs and the chamber plate having an olique portion extending from the surface at an angle to a center plane of the carrier plate from a line immediately adjacent the peripheral edge so that during the pressing stage, the membrane will not be subjected to extreme bends to cause rupture or tearing thereof.

摘要： A membrane filter press has a series of filter plates having an imperforate pipped membrane mounted on each side or one side thereof. Inlet ports are provided with a cantilevered retainer which support adjacent portions of the membrane when the membrane is expanded to effect a squeezing of filter cake deposited on filter media carried by pips on the membrane. The retainer may be circular in the case of a center inlet port or linear in the case of a corner inlet port. Corner outlet ports are provided in the filter plate, with the plate having a linear collection groove juxtaposed to an outer edge portion of the membrane so that filtrate flow from around the membrane pips to the collection groove and by passages only in the plate are conveyed to an outlet port. A beaded membrane rib enhances the connection of the membrane in a filter plate groove at a position adjacent to the plate seal face of adjoining filter plates.

摘要： A filter press comprises a plurality of membrane filter plates each comprising a base plate and an elastic membrane on at least one side of the base plate. The base plate has a circumferential raised plane edge portion surrounding a recess with a step-form recessed circumferential surface between the raised edge portion and the recess and a groove in the recessed circumferential surface and the raised edge portion. The membrane has a reinforced edge poriton of angular cross section with a first web lying on said recessed circumferential surface of the base plate and having a bevelled edge engaging the shoulder between the recessed circumferential surface and the raised edge portion and a second web received in the groove to provide a seal between the membrane and the base plate. The outer surface of the first web is recessed below the plane of the raised edge portion of the base plate. The base plate may have a flat-top support projection in the recess, in which case the membrane has an opening with a reinforced edge to accomodate the support projection. A seal is provided between the membrane and base plate around the support projection in the same manner as around the circumference of the base plate and membrane.

摘要： A filter plate and diaphragm assembly (10) is disclosed for use in a filter press comprising a horizontal stack of such assemblies interleaved with recess plates (12). Each assembly (10) comprises a plate (11) and a diaphragm (19). Plate (11) has a thicker peripheral portion (13) and staybosses (20). Adjacent portion (13) and staybosses (20) the diaphragm does not overlie the plate (11) but has lips (23, 24) accommodated in recesses (25, 26) in the plate (10). This ensures that the clamping loads applied to the stack are not borne by the diaphragms. The diaphragm 19 can have a drainage channel (28) formed in a rib (29) to receive liquid passing along drainage grooves (27) or the like after passing through a filter cloth (17). Air can be introduced via bores (22) to urge the diaphragm (19) away from the plate (11) to compress a filter cake being formed in the space between the assembly 10 and an adjacent recess plate (12).
